With Hype Williams behind the lens, Common delivers a spectacular mini-movie in support of his latest single, “Kingdom.” The seven-minute video follows the all-too common story of Chicago’s inner-city youth, while Common Sense and Vince Staples lyrically narrate the cinematic picture. However, this is one tale that doesn’t have a happy ending. Take note, kids.

“Kingdom” is the lead single off Common’s upcoming Nobody Smiling LP, his first on Def Jam/No I.D.’s Artium Records. The album drops July 22.
