Come Hang Out With Me, This Sat. at the New York-Tokyo Music Festival!

This Saturday, I’m really looking forward to hanging out in Central Park at the New York-Tokyo Music Festival because for the first time ever, the homies from Tokyo, the Teriyaki Boyz will be in NYC, performing with their special celebrity DJ/label-owner/streetwear icon Nigo. I can’t wait to introduce them to the home crowd. Other goodies on tap: performances by MF Doom, Collie Buds, Tokyo’s DJ Uppercut with Roscoe P. Coldchain, Pharoahe Monch, etc. Also, a Nike SB/ZooYork skatepipe, and more all-around cross-cultural enlightenment : )
I also heard a rumor that there will be a surprise guest showin’ love to Teriyaki…they’ve worked with everyone from Just Blaze, Pharrell, Kanye, and Mike Watts, so……ya never know : )

1) Name the other (and in some cases more famous) groups that the Teriyaki Boyz are also part of…

3) Give me an example of how Japanese culture has infiltrated American hip hop culture… (I know this question is mad vague, I just want to see what answers I get, lol)

According to Nigo the name “A Bathing Ape” is short for a Japanese saying “a bathing ape in lukewarm water” which is supposed to be a spirtual practice — a reference to Japanese young generation being spoiled, pampered and too complacent.
