It was an emotional moment at the BET Awards 2012 as the network said their final goodbye to Whitney Houston with an unforgettable tribute. Mariah Carey first appeared recollecting moments with pop icon as she held back tears with her opening speech. The first performance belonged to Monica, who gave a live rendition of “I Love the Lord.” Brandy soon followed bringing a joyful up beat vibe as she performed “I’m Your Baby Tonight” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” The final segment closed with those who were close to Whitney the most, family. Her brother Gary Houston appeared next, singing “Where You Are” before calling on his mother Cissy Houston to appear on stage. The mother of Whitney sang her heart out to  “Bridge over Troubled Water” finally passing the mic to Chaka Khan who closed with “I’m Every Woman.”
