I love Antoine’s hustle, and I kind of admire the fact that he has absolutely no inhibition (or arguably self-restraint). But where the original “Bedroom Intruder” song was great…this is not funny, and not even melodic. Which is the point of autotune, right? Also….judging from Antoine’s original moment of news-making glory, he has a fantastic complexion. So what’s with the clay-colored pancake makeup all over his face here? Blech!

Moving on….those hipster media darlings Odd Future (read analysis at Complex and the Village Voice) put out a Christmas song as well. An rational friend described it as: “Good. If you hate your Dad and don’t think there’s anything corny or emasculating about complaining about it publicly.” Meanwhile, a less rational person reacted with, “this sounds like a retarded person in therapy.” I can appreciate that these guys are making it their mission to be contrary. That’s kind of Sex Pistol-y. People who say they like this, also want to be contrary. Which is less cool on the receiving end as it is on the creative end.

On the plus side…this grandma is so adorable, she makes gender and racial slurs sound less offensive!

Grandma reads 50 Cent’s tweets.

After the jump…..
-My favorite Chicago Tribune Christmas tradition….”Scared of Santa”
-Snoop’s Christmas video….(aka someone paid Snoop a lot of money to use his familiar and likeable personality for viral content that they hope people will subliminally associate with their brand. Like this random and failed gem.
-Dipset Christmas Rock

Every year, The Chicago Tribune’s Scared of Santa feature collects photos from readers who have taken their kids to go see Santa Clause at the mall. My favorite are the combo packs of Miserable Santa, Happy older child, and Blood-curdling Terrified younger child. The absolute best photo here is middle-row, second from the left.

Meanwhile, Snoop cashed a check:

Hey brands….has your advertising planner suggested a 2011 Snoop viral promotion? Because this made me want to drink Pepsi Max…..(no it didn’t)

And finally…..a holiday message from Dipset!

JibJab customized videos have been around for a little while, but its funny to see Jim, Cam, Juelz and Zeke’s faces in here.
