Ppl aren’t saying CB is a horrible person-they saying it was horrible act he did. A lotta times I feel like beating the crap outa someone myself, but the point is: I don’t act on it. I have no sympathy for him. But I do hope for his sake that he realizes how it was v. wrong and feel regret & be genuinely sorry towards Rih.

I hate that people are making him out to be this horrible guy from this one mistake. people don’t understand Chris is just as human now as he was before nobody noticed him for his talents. I try not to judge people on their mistakes. I’m pretty sure he know’s what he did is wrong. I like that quote that T.I. said “Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us. Don’t expect us not to make mistakes ‘cause we will.” He got angry SO WHAT! I’m sure he is not the only one who ever felt like they wanted to hit someone they love. Get real. We all make mistakes. Let those who is without sin cast the first stone. I still love Chris.

I find it disheartening to see some of the comments by a few of the ladies in this forum. Women are the greatest resource in the world and are the least fought for. If as women we can’t all agree that being hit or beaten by ANYONE is automatically wrong, what chance do we have on creating a better, more respectful world for ourselves? If we don’t stand by one another and build a force to be reckoned with, how can we stop female victims from being blamed for the assaults perpetrated upon them? On us? He made a decision to abuse his relationship with her. There was a moment when he chose to cross the line. Where is the accountability? He knew he had a career to protect. Why assume Rhianna wouldn’t try to protect herself against any further assaults from him again? We should be standing by her decision to put herself first, not throwing more stones onto an already bruised woman.

missinfo, I was watching CNN and channel 7 and supposedly they have evidence that pictures of bruises on both sides of her face along with a bloody nose and busted lip were in fact taken. I hate to see a younger talented brother go to jail but I think based on his bad decisions its inevitable at this point and he needs to spend some time behind bars unfortunately and start counting his blessings and realize that it requires special judgement and he has to take responsibility for his crude disgraceful behavior. Damn, i hate to see it happen but nothing and I repeat, nothing warrants a man to beat on a woman the way he supposedly did. Its not only shameful, it should in all cases be punishable.

I totally agree with you. And I do think that hitting doesnt exclude restraining, shaking, or even pushing a woman to get her away. I just wrote this whole response on twitter bc its been bothering me all morning.

Because I was a witness to my mom being abused (hit on and suffocated one time) by my biological father and trying to save her, I almost want to give Chris the benefit of the doubt. Its something that I have always lived with and Im 28 now. Because of this happening in my life Ive always made it my business, despite how nasty and provoking females may be, to just turn the other cheek…literally and walk away. That being said, I never hit a woman in my life despite what I was exposed to. From seeing his interview with Tyra and talking about it, its hard to believe that he would be not only that stupid but completely heartless. It takes a certain type of man to beat on a woman and I would hate to think that after what he’s been through he would subject himself and degrade his stature that way. Missinfo, you said that there is no reason a man has, to put his hands on a woman and while I mostly agree with you, I do believe a man has the right to restrain a womans arms and hold her to prevent her from just beating on him. That being said, and the jury is still out, but if she did receive bruises on her arms I think we can assume what possibly happened. She is light skinned and very petite. I pinched my daughter the other day for misbehaving and she had a black and blue on her arm. Anyway, again Im just giving him the benefit of the doubt since everything is speculation right now. Now if he did in fact hit her and especially in the face, I think he should suffer a great consequence. 4 years is a lot of time and I dont think jail time that long is necessary but he should definetly be hit with the maximum fine, along with counceling and if he lost every endorsement along with a decreased fanbase than justice served. But…….free Michael Vick…lol.

I don’t think its ok for a man 2 hit a woman either…just like a man should cross certain boundaries, neither should a woman…n there are plenty of reasons y a man would hit a woman…i am female myself n growing up in crown heights BK I have come across some pretty tough females that some men can’t even handle…but regardless of this…nobody should put their hands on nobody…man or woman…all of that “a man should never hit a woman no matter wut she does” shit is bullshit…that is not a realistic perspective at all…and if anybody feels otherwise no disrepsect but u have alot 2 learn! Its like saying its ok 4 a man 2 sleep around with differnt women, but its not ok 4 a woman 2 sleep around wit different men cuz she would be a hoe…it is not cute on either end of the spectrum…as someone who has been committed to a man for like 6 years i can say these things…it easy 2 talk all that shit when u r on the outside looking in, but when u r in the situation ur view would be a different story…as 4 me, i would clock or cut a nigga in a minute, but as a realist i also kno i have 2 be prepared 4 wuts 2 come…no disrespect 2 anyone on this blog but if u feel otherwise then u need 2 open ur eyes n step into reality!
