childish major curtis williams

Migos, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan have already introduced us to “New Atlanta” this summer, but Childish Major and Curtis Williams represent a whole new movement happening in the A. Not content with rehashing the same old Southern tropes, Curtis brings a sharp pen game and youthful energy, while Childish — despite being best known for producing Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” — is keen to prove himself as not only a multi-dimensional beatmaker, but as a singer, too.

In fact, he flexes his smooth vocals and songwriting ability on the pair’s new collaboration, aptly-titled “Childish” — a self-evaluating love song laced with brassy horns and airy chords. “You trying to leave but I say stay for me / And that’s just selfish but it might work,” Major croons while the Two-9 MC offers a more brash perspective to relationships.

Here’s hoping these two have got more in the stash together — a full project maybe? And call it Curtis Major? (Yeah, I’ll be needing that 700%).
