“Donald is undoubtedly one of the most talented, multi-faceted, young entertainers of this era,” said RCA Chairman/CEO Peter Edge. “We are excited to join forces with him and Wolf + Rothstein to usher in the next phase of Childish Gambino’s musical career.” Glover added, “it was a necessary change of pace.”

Despite a busy schedule that includes film projects like Solo: A Star Wars Story and The Lion King, as well as his hit FX show Atlanta, Gambino’s first musical release through Wolf + Rothstein/RCA Records is expected to arrive later this year.

Glover was previously signed to indie label Glassnote Records, who released projects like Camp, Because the Internet and his GRAMMY-nominated Awaken, My Love! Bino’s hit single “Redbone” only intensified the major label bidding war, which reportedly also included Interscope.

At RCA Records, Childish Gambino joins a roster that includes SZA, A$AP Rocky, Justin Timberlake, D’Angelo and Khalid.
