Kanye West Remixes Chief Keef’s “I Dont Like” With Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean
Posted by Mr.North under New Music , Videos[48] Comments
After a long drawn-out wait, G.O.O.D. Music debuts a new remix to one of the hottest street records out now. Following “Mercy,” Kanye West shows support to fellow Chi-Town newcomer Chief Keef by hopping on the remix to “I Don’t Like.” In a recent interview, producer Young Chop revealed that Kanye was a big fan of the 16-year-old rapper and a collaboration between the two was in the works. Keef blesses the remix with a new verse as Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Big Sean join in.

UPDATE: The producer of the song, Young Chop seems to be furious at Kanye West for making changes to the original beat for the remix. Aside from going on a Twitter rant (tweets have since been deleted), he called Chicago’s DJ Moon Dawg to speak on the controversy. Listen to their interview, along with the original version of “I Don’t Like,” plus Chief Keef’s recent visit to NYC below….

May 1st, 2012 at 7:12 pm
Maybe he meant Omar Epps?
May 1st, 2012 at 7:19 pm
2Chainz would have went the phuck in !!!
May 1st, 2012 at 7:38 pm
Jada coulda been left off & Sean verse was a bit weak.
May 1st, 2012 at 7:42 pm
Riot music. Definitely worth the wait. (Sidenote: Apparently the producer of this track, Young Chop, isn’t too happy with the final product. Check his Twitter @youngchopbeatz)

original version was dope as is.
May 1st, 2012 at 8:34 pm
Push came on the track HARD as fu*k….SHEESH!…Ye was spitting too!
May 1st, 2012 at 8:57 pm
yeah he’s pissed. i guess he wasn’t consulted about the final product. he’s got a legitimate beef
May 1st, 2012 at 9:06 pm
Ehhhhhh…… this is it? Lyrics were ok, Pusha was dope, beat is typical 2Chainz, Future, Waka shit. I just don’t get it. With all the talent around Kanye, this and Mercy were very subpar. Maybe too many cooks in the kitchen.

It doesnt matter how mad this dude is he aint put in no work in the game. Kanye made the track better…
May 1st, 2012 at 10:46 pm
Weird faggot crying over petty shit…This is a REMIX. THEY REMIXED THE SONG. It’s not supposed to sound the same.
May 1st, 2012 at 10:49 pm
i understand what young chop is saying. but at the same time. they did you a favor fam. Aint like he made a original beat with an original sound. sit yo ass down and be happy you bout to get a few more looks off it. Shut ya mouth and get ya check.
May 1st, 2012 at 10:54 pm
Young Chop needs to chill… Its called a REMIX for a reason. He should be glad Ye anded to this Lex Luger/Honorable Cnote/Beat Billionaire/Southside knock off. This kid had the audacity to say he CREATED a sound… Smh. That track is no different than any other trap beat.
Talkin bout Kanye better call his phone… lol. Im sure that didnt happen. He needs to be tryna figure out how he can be in the game a yr from now. Hell 6 mos even. I’m astonished the original got that big in chicago… somebody must’ve cut the check at radio. The youngin need to relax and humble himself, this remix could’ve helped HIM. Smh.

nice…Mekhi wasn’t in ‘in too deep’ tho. that was omar epps. fail on the movie reference. Ye is still top 5
May 1st, 2012 at 11:31 pm
obviously he did, if Kanye wanted to redo it…
Kanye forgets he’s a producer first, doing autotune that sounds horrible and stepping on toes like this
May 1st, 2012 at 11:36 pm
I get dudes point. He produced the track so rock with his beat since we not in 90’s and remix’s are just features with the same beat. Although Kanye put this track and artist on the map I see his point. He should just be happy for the love and attention he will get.

ThE ORIGINAL shit goes HARD!! Why they DOING SON LIKE THAT… I swear that nigga look like everybody in my family.. skinny ass niggas with dreds and no shirts on hahaha
But this is that producers momment and they should have got his input before changing anything.. And his dumbass should have taken that GOOD MUSIC push and shot a video and got Chief a 2 Chains deal lol… This is a silly move on his part now he wont ever get out the hood… he should have taken that loss and doubled his following and production money in the future..
May 2nd, 2012 at 12:46 am
Young Chop chill out! Your 16 and you don’t understand how this music can change your life. So, you don’t like the remix, so what! Get over your self. This happens all the time. It’s just most producers keep it to themselves because they don’t want to come off a certain way and continue to work without a bad rep.
Move on and just be happy ‘major’ dudes are using your sound to make music. You can start working with ‘big’ artist and get ‘heavy’ checks. Your only 16 and this never happens to most people who have been working at this for years. Get the money and move your emotions to the side.
May 2nd, 2012 at 2:37 am
Young Chop is absolutely right from a creative standpoint and from a business standpoint. If you’re not an artist of any type you wouldn’t understand. If Kanye a real ni**a he’ll holla that young’n cuz obviously remaking his beat…thats that sh*t that he don’t like..ha!
May 2nd, 2012 at 9:09 am
What’s he gonna sue Kanye for? Kanye is not selling the remix is he?
May 2nd, 2012 at 10:03 am
The Mekhi reference was because of Paid in Full not In 2 Deep
May 2nd, 2012 at 10:21 am
Exaaaaaactly! Be greatful that people outside of the Chi know your effing name son!
When Ye changed up Lex Luger’s beat he wasn’t pissed, he was greatful that someone as big as Kanye used his damn beat. People need to humble themselves and be greatful for the acknowledgment
And even if you pissed, holla at the team, dont take that shit to twitter, I swear people use twitter for the wrong reasons some time smfh

Chop’s biggest problem is he went to media and social networking to let people know how upset he was, He should have gotten in contact with Don C. and made it known to him what his issues were. I’m pretty sure no one told him that Kanye was going to throw some melodies of his beat for the remix…he thought it would be his beat. To a degree that is WRONG on Kanye’s part – miscommunication of how this track being remixed was going to work. With that being said…Chop should have been able to hear the final product before it was released – so all this conflict could have been avoided.
May 2nd, 2012 at 12:16 pm
Exactly. Dudes these days is to comfortable just airing everything out for the world. That coulda been handle much smoother. And exactly how you gone sue and ya man keef is on the track? If he was smart he woulda chilled and let his man keef shine off the tremendous look cause I honestly didn’t know who he was Til I heard about the remix.
May 2nd, 2012 at 12:41 pm
I dont understand why everyone saying Sean’s verse was whack. Dude had the best flow on the track. If anything Jada’s verse was weak as hell.
May 2nd, 2012 at 1:09 pm
why would he have to contact somebody using his material…its the other way around
May 2nd, 2012 at 1:10 pm
it gets played on the radio…he need to get paid ..fucck that…
May 2nd, 2012 at 1:38 pm
god you niggas will suck off Kanye in every little thing. Get off this niggas dick god damn he don’t even know y’all
May 2nd, 2012 at 1:48 pm
this nigga Kanye the type of person to add some snares and kicks and a shit load of 808s to YOUR beat and call it his. so i defend chop 300%
May 2nd, 2012 at 1:57 pm
I get his anger, its his track & “Remixes” in 2012 aren’t REMIXES..they are jus extra features. And Kanye would be pissed if someone did the same to him, He’s emotionally like a female sometimes. The young dude probably coulda handled it better, but his point is valid. Its his track, its his art, he should have final say so, if someone decides to change it..JUS SAY’N
May 2nd, 2012 at 2:15 pm
Ye’s verse is crazy on this $H!T damN FleX is gonna kiLL this
May 2nd, 2012 at 3:10 pm
Did you read everything I posted? I posted if he was that upset he should have contact Don C instead of using the media and social networking.
May 2nd, 2012 at 6:40 pm
It a remix it not suppose to sound the same what a dummy . He should have used this push and ran with it not too many people can get a superstar in the game to adknowledge there stuff .
May 2nd, 2012 at 9:06 pm
i think ill agree with the title of the song
May 3rd, 2012 at 12:09 am
SO LET ME GET THIS RIGHT SO BECAUSE THIS IS AN ACTUAL REMIX INSTEAD OF JUST ADDED VERSES CHOP HAS A PROBLEM IF ANYTHING THE REMIX WILL BRING SOME SHINE TO THE ORIGINAL WHICH IS HORRIBLE AND ITS NOT THAT BIG IN CHICAGO I AGREE IN TODAY’S SOCIETY PPL ARE WAY TO BITCHY VIA SOCIAL MEDIA BE A MAN AND CALL A MAN DONT RANT ON TWITTER THATS NOT HOW ADULTS ACT THE REMIX BRINGS NATIONAL ATTENTION TO BOTH ARTIST AND PRODUCER INSTEAD OF BEING UPSET HE SHOULD BE HAPPY BECAUSE THE WHOLE BEAT DIDNT CHANGE IT STILL USES PARTS OF THE ORIGINAL WHEN EVER ITS SOLD HE WILL BE PAID PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS FREE MUSIC HOW MUCH DID G.O.O.D MUSIC CHARGE THESE GUYS TO HOP ON THE RECORD SMH WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN

International attention! U.K. ALL DAY
May 4th, 2012 at 1:29 pm
Most of yall not from Chicago… So yall wont understand that this is about respect. You wouldn’t want sumbody to steal yo shit and make money off of it right? When you remix a song you add more or less artist, or switch up lyrics. You Dont Switch up someones beat that they put hard work into Dickheads. Yeah Kanye is a musical genius and all. But the situation in general was disrespcful because he didnt ask fo PERMISSION. But then again Chop culda went about tha situation in a more professional way. .. Follow Me ——–>@ChiefRayRay<————

May 4th, 2012 at 1:40 pm
My Biggest issue with this, is that he took the NEW UPCOMING CHICAGO sound out of the beat….. When this sound gets larger , all of you will understand.
But Follow Me @ChiefRayRay
May 4th, 2012 at 1:44 pm
ALSO Kanye got sued twice recently for almost the same thing. He needs to learn how to ASK before he just goes and changes shit, uses shit, samples shit, etc…
May 4th, 2012 at 2:48 pm
Chop should holla’d at Keef if he’s that mad. Keef dropped a new verse for the joint, so he knew what was up. Chop coulda just let it slide, thanked Ye for acknowledging his beat and stayed on the come up. Now this boy made enemies with one of the biggest crews in the game. Pride or not, sometimes you gotta see the bigger picture. Good luck to the brotha tho.
May 4th, 2012 at 6:58 pm
I think it’s a bad idea for anyone (of any age) to throw away a good opportunity to work with major artist. It’s nice he as a deal but it’s still unprofessional to do what he did. No one is dick-riding Kanye. It’s just bad business sense to act that childish in public. A phone call or am e-mail would have done a better job, IMO.
