While most of the music world is trying to process the sudden loss of Whitney Houston, one of her biggest supporters gave a few words of remembrance for the fallen singer.

“Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.” said Clive Davis at his pre-Grammy party.

“Her beautiful smile, incredible energy and grandma hugs that shook your body … That made me get dressed; her natural positive spirit. We should celebrate Whitney Houston tonight. Listening to her sing was like a gift from God.” He then chanted three times: “Ain’t no party like a Clive Davis party.” And added, “We’re about to start the party in honor of Whitney Houston and Diana Ross” (who was honored earlier in the day with a lifetime achievement award). No one could of ever imagined the amount of success Jeremy Lin has had in the past couple weeks. Admitting doubts of Lin not being able to play defense and finishing at the basket, his own coach Mike D’Antoni was even weary of giving him a legitimate chance. But as the Harvard graduate continues to fuel the Knicks with a three game win streak without their star powers, averaging 25.3 points and 8.3 assists over his past three games, we’re amped Linsanity continues.

Either Kobe Bryant has been living under a rock, or just doesn’t keep up with NBA’s daily headlines, as he said he had no idea of Lin’s emergence. During his post game interview after beating the Celtics last night, the fifth highest scoring player in NBA history said he wasn’t aware of the Linsanity movement.

“What? I have no idea, I mean I know who he is, but I don’t really know what’s going on too much with that.”

Make sure you tune in tonight when the Knicks square off against the Lakers at 8PM, televised on MSG and ESPN.

These days, it’s tough to find vocalists that you won’t forget as soon as the next Rick Ross video drops. We’re over exposed to music and it doesn’t look like the overload will let up any time soon. So it’s a real treat when the MissInfo.tv crew comes across a singer that we’re impressed by. A few weeks ago we introduced you to Yuna (by way of Fader),  a souful Malaysian singer/songwriter that caught the attention of Pharrell… and Gabz! Like many of you, we fell in love with her soothing voice, which meshed so well over the vintage-sounding Pharrell beat of “Live Your Life.”

Last night, we got to witness Yuna’s incredible talent, first hand. From Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, this newcomer blew us away with her live songs. Check out what we saw above.
