Miss Info: The SXSW convention is around the corner and while most folks focus on the feeding frenzies of the Tech panels (our boy Eddie Huang just told us he’ll be doing two panels to promote his new Fresh Off the Boat book phenomenon!) and the Music showcases….there is also a ton of energy surrounding the SXSW film festival. The lineup is becoming the alt-Sundance and this year, one of the documentaries that we will be looking forward to is Downloaded. The doc is directed by Alex Winter (the same guy who costarred with Keanu Reeves in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure!!!) and traces the explosion and implosion of Napster, the file downloading program that really started the digital music revolution.
