Diddy and Shyne sent shockwaves across the hip-hop community when photos hit the internet of the former labelmates hanging out during Paris Fashion Week. The various photos that weekend confirmed the two put their much publicized past beef behind them. In a written statement, Shyne explains the reasoning behind the truce, and how their pact can help the young Black and Latin American communities.

“You can’t overstate the cultural significance of what Shyne and Diddy reconciling means. You know I’m about it when it comes to them hammers, thus unfortunately this could have ended like Tupac and B.I.G. But what if Tupac and B.I.G ended like this and reconciled? Let’s celebrate this moment as a historical event and a victory for hip-hop and Afro and Latin American men trained to exterminate each other, It’s a new day! L’chaim!!!”

Many fans of The Notorious B.I.G. gathered at Brooklyn’s Rebel nightclub on Friday night for a tribute concert. Among those who performed included Maino, who was joined on stage by Lil’ Cease. Most know of their well-documented beef, but both recently buried the hatchet and have moved on. Always good to see, R.I.P. Biggie Smalls.

I’m counting down to the opening of Hunger Games, even though part of me already senses that the quality control is far from Potter-level, and bordering on I Am Number Four cheese. But no matter….big budget cinematography and flash will not be a problem for this upcoming Avengers movie for sure. I’m assuming since it’s a combo movie of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye, they will be just combining the respect solo budgets of each star. No?
Anyways, in the new Avengers trailer, you get more backstory, and that Marvel money shot of all the heros together in the round.

T.I. hits the the studio with Usher to work on a new song for his upcoming Trouble Man album in the latest episode of his reality show. With producer Rico Love controlling the boards, the trio cook up what they feel is a potential hit for TIP’s eighth studio LP. Earlier this month, Rico Love sat down with the good folks over at Rap-Up and expressed confidence in the final result from the ATL heavyweights.

“It’s just a dope, dope collabo. Usher and Tip, two Atlanta natives. This time I finally feel like they got a record that’s gonna be a humongous hit.”

The grind continues, as ABC Nightline travels with 50 Cent to Somalia in support of the United Nations World Food Program and his Street King initiative.
