Not sure how the self-portraits of Cassie and her pierced nippelles leaked onto the internets, but I love how nonchalantly she pooh-poohed all the fuss.

Its crazy how easy it is for expert hackers to crack into celeb’s computers, especially their email etc…and I def think she has a right to be pissed..

however..if I was as pretty as Cassie…maybe I’d take some flicks, and stop by the local Apple Store and leave my gmail logged on while I left to grab a latte ; ) Just keeding.

I love odd couplings, both musically and socially….my homegirl Karen Civil twittered about a Lil Wayne and Madonna collaboration and then blessed us with Weezy’s verse. What an unexpected surprise : )

And Asher Roth offended folks with this tweet last week. (Me, I was more offended by the fact that Roth followed up with an apology tweet, then him or his team deleted both and then tried to perpetrate the idea that his account was hacked into. And then refused to address any of the ensuing outrage. Eskay posted a most eloquent op-ed on the subject)

Kanye won Complex’s first ever Style Wars, beating a field of 64 that included my favorite snappy dressers such as Ghostface, Slick Rick, Andre 3000, Pharell, and the GOAT gangster with the girly-’do Rappin’ 4-Tay from the Bay. The final pose-off was between ‘Ye and Jay-Z. And after Kanye posted the battle on his blog, he handily won with 77% of the votes.**

According to BonnieFuller, this pic shows Rihanna’s latest gun tats. Obviously in the general context/timing of things, Rihanna’s new tattoos are a bit um….odd. But maybe they’re empowering to her. Also…if she wasn’t a popstar with a recent controversial domestic violence incident with her pop star boyfriend…then this tattoo would be pun-tastically hilarious. Like something Steve-O would do. (but he’d probably get them much bigger, and with something raunchy coming out as bullets).

RiRi has a knack for getting sexy tough-but-cute tattoos. But I wonder if they look bad when she puts her arms down…..

UPDATE: well, thank you to sharp-eyed readers like Nightfall, Reeg and more who pointed out that these were just stencils and that Rihanna ended up getting the real tat on her ribs under her arms…(like a realllly reeeally tiny shoulder holster?)….you can read about that on Smoking Section. Looks less cute/ironic/humorous there…more random.

I listened to The Dream’s album yesterday in the car…and its pretty bueno. Less nonsensical adlibs than his first album….more crossover maybe, more grown. Good job. On a personal level, The Dream and his girl/artist/signee/svengali-reanimation-project Christina Milian were “working” together in Hawaii and got the paparazzi treatment. Lots of cute pics over the nets, but I wonder…whats up with wearing a full-sized silk scarf to the pool? in jet black….with your bermuda shorts…and probably mandals. The scarf would be…to…shield your face from those harsh Hawaii…sandstorms?
