reginae carter

Young Money just got, well, younger. In an interview with Rap-Up at Cash Money’s Pre-Grammys Party, President Mack Maine made a surprise announcement that the label has signed Lil Wayne’s 14-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter. Mack had high praise for their teenage signee, calling her a “megastar” and said that we should “expect greatness.” Reginae was previously part of the girl group OMG Girlz, who saw viral success with their 2012 pop-rap track, “Gucci This (Gucci That).” If you remember, she was also seen rapping in the 2009 Lil Wayne documentary, The Carter.

Wayne’s daughter, Reginae, is actually signed to Young Money now,” he said. “Just expect greatness. She’s Toya [Wright's] daughter and Wayne’s daughter, so that’s a great combination. She’s a star, put it like that. A megastar.

During the interview, Mack Maine also spoke on Young Money’s other new additions, which include PJ Morton (who has a single with Stevie Wonder coming soon), Torion Sellers and We the Future.

Having recently released his Free Bandz Gang compilation mixtape, F.B.G.: The Movie, and with “Good Kush & Alcohol” still fuelling the clubs, Future remains a hot commodity. Karen Civil recently sat down with Mr. Pluto, where he touched on a number of subjects, including his collaborations with Drake. Although “Fo Real” hasn’t proved to be the hit we hoped for, the rapper revealed he has another track with Drizzy on his forthcoming Future Hendrix LP, and promises it’s a “lane-changer.”

Future also addressed rumors that he and Epic label mate Ciara are dating, brushing them off by saying “I don’t want to talk about it, but just know she ain’t going nowhere.” However, in another interview with Hot 107.9′s DJ J 1, the ATLien spoke more openly about their relationship and hinted more towards a romance. He described their chemistry as “amazing” and stated that “once the media passes over and all of the foolishness goes past, we gon’ be able to be good,” referring to rumors surrounding a supposed ex-girlfriend.

["Fo Real"] is on the mixtape, ’cause I also have a record [with Drake] for my album. I was just like, I don’t want two records with him on the album when I know this other record in a whole ‘nother lane. It’s a lane-changer.

We are at a time where, I am on Epic, she’s on Epic, I love music, she loves music. And we love being in the studio with each other. We love being around each other and that’s just what it is. The chemistry is there. It’s amazing. She makes me happy, I make her smile.
