Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar dominated the 60th annual Grammy Awards in New York City on Sunday night (Jan. 28). Hosted by James Corden at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, music’s biggest night was lead by the pop singer and TDE MC, who walked away with the most of the nights. Mars, who performed his “Finesse” remix with Cardi B during the star-studded show, left with six GRAMMYs including the major three categories: “Album of the Year” (24K Magic), “Record of the Year” (“24K Magic”) and “Song of the Year” (“That’s What I Like”). For Kendrick Lamar, who opened the 2018 GRAMMYs with guests U2 and Dave Chappelle, the Compton lyricist won five awards including “Best Music Video” (“HUMBLE.”) and “Best Rap Album” (DAMN.), sweeping the rap category.

Childish Gambino landed his first-ever Grammy as “Redbone” won “Best Traditional R&B Performance,” and The Weeknd’s STARBOY LP won for “Best Urban Contemporary Album.” Going up against SZA, Lil’ Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels and Khalid, Canadian singer Alessia Cara earned her first Grammy by winning “Best New Artist.”

Lady Gaga

Music’s biggest night in here, as the 60th annual Grammy Awards took place at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday night (Jan. 28). The brightest stars all made their way to the Big Apple as Kendrick Lamar and U2, Bruno Mars and Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Childish Gambino, SZA, Logic with Alessia Cara and Khalid, Elton John, Miley Cyrus and more all took to the big stage at this year’s performers. Before the main show kicked off, it was all about the flash and style as your favorite celebrities graced the red carpet in fancy gowns and slick high-designer threads.

Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, Rick Ross, Cardi B, ZAYN, Lana Del Rey, Big Sean, Elton John, DRAM, Janelle Monáe, Tyler the Creator, Miley Cyrus, Alessia Cara, P!NK, and many more stars were all smiles and posing for hundreds on photographers along the red carpet. After taping The Van Jones Show and hosting the annual Roc Nation Pre-Grammy brunch, JAY-Z’s busy day ended in celebratory fashion at the Clive Davis and Recording Academy Pre-GRAMMY Gala on Saturday night (Jan. 27). This year, the Roc Nation mogul was honored with GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons Award for his contributions as an industry trailblazer and music visionary. Beyoncé, Diddy, Jerry Seinfeld, Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, ZAYN, T.I., Diplo, Rita Ora, Swizz Beatz and more attended the extravagant event at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in NYC.

Shortly after taping his appearance on The Van Jones Show, JAY-Z hosted the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 28). The star-studded event was held at the One World Observatory at the Top of One World Trade Center in New York City. The biggest names in entertainment all came together for a relaxing gathering, as D’Usse and Armand de Brignac’s Ace of Spades were the main go-to drinks during the event.

Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Diddy, T.I., Big Sean, Nick Jonas, Monica, Lala Anthony, Fabolous, Iggy Azalea, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Swizz Beatz, Bryson Tiller, Pusha T and Yo Gotti were some of the attendees spotted at the party. Grammy-nominated artists like Daniel Caesar and Rapsody also appeared at the swanky soirée along with others like Cassie, Brooklyn Beckham, DeJ Loaf, legendary Harlem designer Dapper Dan, Andre Harrell, Justine Skye, and owner of the New England Patriots Robert Kraft. While she didn’t pose for the professional photographers on hand, Queen Bey was all smiles mingling and catching up with Mariah Carey, Monina, and Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei.

Mary J. Blige celebrated her 47th birthday in a major way on Thursday (Jan. 11). The Grammy Award-winning singer was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Queen was joined by Diddy, Apple executive Jimmy Iovine, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Tyrese, Andre Harrell, BET chief executive Debra Lee, Angie Martinez, and close friends and family during the ceremony in Hollywood. “I’m so grateful for this star right now because I’ve earned it probably three times,” said MJB. “I say that with confidence and not arrogance. I say it because I know that now, and I know my worth, and what this means.”

Whatever she is going through, she knows she has a responsibility to help others who are going through the same thing,” said Diddy, a long-time friend and collabortor in Mary’s long career. “Mary J. Blige has saved a lot of lives. Mary J. Blige has saved a lot of broken hearts.” The dedication comes after Mary J. Blige attended the Golden Globes last weekend, for her critically-acclaimed film Mudbound. The actress/singer was nominated for two Golden Globes including “Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture” and “Best Original Song.”

No. 1 records, a platinum-selling album and most recently a Grammy nomination, safe to say DJ Khaled had a career year in 2017. The DJ/mogul celebrated life and success over the weekend during his star-studded 42nd birthday party. Hosted by Diddy and Roc Nation executive Lenny Santiago, the Arabian Nights themed birthday bash was held at a private estate in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. Kid Capri provided the music all night, while Turkish internet sensation Nusret “Salt Bae” Gökçe served up the menu in collaboration with with STK and Catch LA.

Usher, Pharrell, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, Fergie, Jimmy Iovine, Tiffany Hadish, Jermaine Dupri, Akon, Meghan Trainor, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, Teyana Taylor, Cassie, Machine Gun Kelly, and Emily Ratajkowski were some of stars spotted at the event. DJ Khaled’s wife Nicole Tuck and his son Asahd Khaled were by his side as Kelly Rowland sang “Happy Birthday” to the Florida native. The birthday bash was also sponsored by FOX’s The Four, the new singing competition show which both Khaled and Diddy appear on.

Interviewed by Liza Dye, the Young Money Queen speaks on her heavy presence on social media and staying active with her fans, offering to pay for her fans’ college tuition, the possibility of an all-female Watch the Throne album and her fans wanting Beyoncé to be a part of it, a collaborative project with Future that got scrapped, plans of doing more movies, and more.

Shot by Ellen von Unwerth, Minaj lets her bad side out during the sexy cover shoot. The Queens MC is seen styled in pieces by Jean-Paul Gaultier, Gucci, Djula, Saint Laurent and Giorgio Armani. Rihanna’s 3rd annual Diamond Ball took place on Thursday night (Sept. 13) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. In support of the Clara Lionel Foundation non-profit organization, the all-black affair was hosted by comedian Dave Chappelle. Rihanna, dressed in an all-black Ralph & Russo gown, lead the star-studded night if attendees that included Beyoncé and JAY-Z, Jamie Foxx, Trevor Noah, Lala Anthony, Future, Gayle King, Cardi B, Young Thug, Lil’ Kim, Fabolous, model Emily Ratajkowski, Fabolous and more.

RiRi was also joined by her parents Ronald Fenty and Monica Brathwaite, brothers Rorrey and Rajad, and her grandfather Lionel “Bravo” Braithwaite. Along with performances by Kendrick Lamar and Calvin Harris, former U.S. President Barack Obama made an appearance via video link, thanking the pop superstar “for the great work” her foundation has done. “You’ve become a powerful force,” said Obama. With the help of Chappelle playing auctioneer, the organization raised more than $840,000.

Founded in 2012, The Clara Lionel Foundation organization seeks to improve quality of life in areas of health, education, culture and arts for communities across the globe.
