Back in May, Action Bronson revealed in an interview with XXL that his Blue Chips 7000 would hopefully arrive this summer. Voicing frustration over social media with his label Atlantic Records in recent weeks, the Queens MC gave fans an update in the early hours of Thursday morning (Jul. 25).

Blue Chips 7000 will hit stores on August 25, Bam Bam announced on Instagram. A new song and music video titled “The Chairman’s Intent” is set to drop on Thursday. Harry Fraud handles production duties on the track, while Rik Cordero serves as the video’s director. Blue Chips 7000 serves as Bronson’s first full-length release since 2015’s Mr. Wonderful. The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards arrive in exactly one month. On Tuesday (Jul. 25), the nominations were revealed during an announcement session on Instagram Live. Leading the pack for this year’s VMAs is Kendrick Lamar. The TDE MC lands eight nominations, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” and “Best Hip-Hop.” The Weeknd and Katy Perry follow with five nods each, while artists like Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled, D.R.A.M., Chance the Rapper and Big Sean also received multiple nominations.

The 34th annual MTV Video Music Awards takes place on August 27, live from The Forum in Inglewood, California, starting at 8 p.m. EST. Check out the full nominations list below.

A$AP Mob are hitting the road this fall on the newly-announced Too Cozy Tour. The 20-city trek will take the whole A$AP crew, including Rocky, Ferg, Twelvyy, Nast and Ant, as well as Playboi Carti, Key! and Cozy Boys (aka DJ duo A$AP Snacks and A$AP Lou) across North America. The party kicks off in Lowell, MA on September 23 and wraps up in Broomfield, CO on November 3, with stops in New York, Philly, Houston, Los Angeles and Vancouver along the way. If we’re lucky, we might just get A$AP Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 before the tour gets underway.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 28, at 10am ET via ASAPMob.com.

Justin Bieber has cancelled the remaining dates of his “Purpose World Tour.” On Monday (Jul. 24), the Canadian pop sensation took to his official website, announcing the road show will no long continue. The singer has been on tour for the last 18 months, spanning 6 continents for over 150 shows. There was 14 dates remaining on the “Purpose World Tour,” with newly added acts Vic Mensa, Migos and Martin Garrix.

french-montana-announces-new-album-jungle-rules-release-date

The first week numbers for French Montana’s Jungles Rules are in. According to Nielsen Music, the Bronx rapper’s sophomore album debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after selling 52,000 equivalent album units (16,000 in traditional sales). Lead by the song-of-the-summer contender “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee, which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, Jungle Rules is French’s highest charting album to date.

Justin Bieber has announced the opening acts for the upcoming North American leg of his Purpose world tour. Migos, Vic Mensa and Kehlani, as well as Dutch DJ Garrix, will share supporting duties on Bieber’s stadium run, which kicks off in Arlington, Texas on July 29. Vic Mensa, whose debut album The Autobiography drops a day earlier, will perform at all nine shows, Migos will make five appearances while Kehlani and Garrix will open two concerts each.

Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour, which has grossed over $200 million, kicked off all the way back in March 2016, when Post Malone and Moxie Raia were the opening acts.

JAY-Z’s 4:44 has topped the Billboard 200, earning Hov his 14th No. 1 album. According to Nielsen Music, 4:44 sold 262,000 equivalent album units (174,000 in traditional sales) since it was released on most streaming platforms (not including Spotify) and retailers on July 7.
