In a new interview with Vogue released earlier this week, Meek Mill revealed his long-awaited new studio LP will drop on November 30. At the time, the project’s title was unknown. On Friday afternoon (Nov. 16), the Philadelphia MC took to social media to announce the follow-up to 2017’s Wins & Losses is called Championships. The Dreamchasers fourth studio album serves as his first since being released from prison earlier this year.

Last month, Ghostface Killah released The Lost Tapes, a project entirely produced by Big Ghost, with guest features from Snoop Dogg, E-40, Big Daddy Kane, Sheek Louch and his Wu brethren, of course.

Now, the iconic emcee has announced a remix double album of The Lost Tapes titled Ghost Files, which will feature 25 tracks in total. One side of the project will be remixed by Bronze Nazareth and the other side by Agallah.

After teaming up with 9th Wonder and the Soul Council for Streams of Thought Vol. 1 earlier this year, Black Thought has announced the second installment in his series with another revered producer. Set to arrive on Nov. 26, Streams of Thought Vol. 2 will see the legendary Roots MC join forces with Salaam Remi, the Queens native who’s best known for his work with Nas (“Made You Look”), Amy Winehouse (“Tears Dry on Their Own”) and the Fugees (“Fu-Gee-La”). The pair even have a name for their partnership: Traxploitation. (Please say that means Black Thought over blaxploitation beats!)

After somewhat disappearing for most of 2018, Metro Boomin’s return has topped the chart. Young Metro’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes project debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. Released earlier this month, the guest-heavy album moved 99,000 equivalent album (5,000 in traditional album sales) opening week according to Nielsen Music. Streaming provided a bulk of the album sales as it gathered 125.3 million on-demand audio streams. Metro Boomin now lands his first-ever No. 1 album to go with his first Hot 100 No. 1 record, the Migos’ “Bad and Boujee” which he produced.

Not All Heroes Wear Capes features guest appearances by Drake, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Swae Lee, Gucci Mane, J Balvin, 21 Savage, Offset, Gunna and WizKid.

Mike WiLL Made-It has orchestrated an all-star cast for the upcoming Creed II soundtrack, in support of the new film starring Michael B. Jordan. The hitmaking ATLien serves as executive producer along with Ludwig Göransson and Fam Rothstein, and on Monday (Nov. 12) Mike WiLL revealed the loaded track list. The 15-song LP features appearances by Lil’ Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Nas, J. Cole, Bon Iver, Pharrell Williams, Young Thug, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Vince Staples, Rae Sremmurd, Kodak Black and more. The project’s first single “Kill ‘Em With Success” was released earlier this month, featuring Eearz, ScHoolboy Q and 2 Chainz.

There was a time where movie soundtracks had people just as excited as an artist’s album, and that’s the feeling I was going for when creating this project alongside Ludwig Göransson and Fam Rothstein,” said Mike WiLL in a statement. “After people hear the music, I want them to say movie soundtracks are back.” Creed II arrives in theatres on November 21, see the track list below.

Ariana Grande soars straight to the top. The singer’s new single “thank u, next” debuts No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The record, released a little over a week ago, is the 25-year-old’s first-ever No. 1 on the Hot 100. Dropping moments before Saturday Night Live on November 3, the song instantly created a buzz as Ariana touched on her past relationships with Big Sean, the late Mac Miller, and her ex-fiancé/SNL comedian Pete Davidson. The song has already been streamed 22 million times on YouTube.

Ariana Grande is the first female artist to debut No. 1 on the Hot 100 since Adele in 2015 with “Hello.” The pop star joins Beyoncé (“Perfect” featured with Ed Sheeran), Cardi B (“I Like It,” “Girls Like You” featured with Maroon 5) and Camila Cabello (“Havana”) as the only female artists to reach No. 1 this year. “thank u, next” is the fourth song of 2018 to debut in the top spot following Drake’s “God’s Plan” and “Nice For What,” and Childish Gambino’s “This Is America.”

It’s been reported by TMZ that a shooting occurred yesterday on the set of a 6ix9ine video shoot in Beverly Hills. Authorities were called onto the scene around 10:25pm, with reports that at least eight shots were fired in an apparent drive-by. One of the shots hit a bedroom window in the $80 million rented estate, but luckily no one was injured.

It’s been almost a year since he announced the album, which is definitely not like him to leave us waiting this long (hey, the guy deserves a break!), but Gucci Mane’s Evil Genius is finally dropping next month. Today, Guwop revealed that his upcoming 13th studio album is set to arrive on December (sorry, Decemburr) 7.
