Travis Scott’s incredible and career-defining year is chronicled as the Cactus Jack star covers Rolling Stone. In the cover story by Jonah Wiener, the 26-year-old’s 2018 run is highlighted, lead by his platinum-selling album ASTROWORLD. The feature touches on Scott’s upbringing in Houston, his family and father’s musical background, the inaugural Astroworld Festival earlier this year and the importance of that day after the famed amusement park closed in 2005. The Grammy-nominated rapper/producer opens up on his relationship with Kylie Jenner, who he first met at Coachella. Scott details their religious connection, privacy concerns when he first started dating Jenner, and parenthood raising their newborn daughter Stormi. For the first-time, the man known as La Flame would also speak on his past mentor Kanye West’s friendship with President Donald Trump and controversial comments he’s made throughout the year.

“I mean, shit, I’d tell him, ‘Bro, chill. What you gotta understand is, young black kids are looking up to you, and the message you used to preach in your earlier music? It’ll make a young black kid — it’ll make any kid — confused.’ That shit was — come on. But when Ye get on some shit, he on some shit. I don’t know if that nigga just liked the hat or what, dog. Ye deals with different shit in his life. That’s family. You don’t wanna desert your bro. Everybody go through shit. He still a dope musician. But he’s definitely hit me up about it, and I’ve told him, ‘Man, you got kids looking up to you, feel me?’.”

Now with his second No. 1 album added to the personal accolades, Meek Mill is now rolling out music videos in support of CHAMPIONSHIPS. After a visual for the “Intro” earlier this month, the Dreamchaser returns with one for the Mobb Deep-sampled “Trauma.” Co-starring his son, Meek Mill gives the kid a reality check to the harsh and unforgiving street life.

The video premieres hours after GQ debuted their latest episode of Actually Me, where Meek goes undercover answering fan questions on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Watch both below.

Pusha T was a guest on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Tuesday (Dec. 18). The President of G.O.O.D. Music sat down on the couch to discuss the honor of his DAYTONA album being nominated for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the 2019 GRAMMYs. The Virginia MC also explained the term ‘luxury rap,’ chanelling that into the album with executive producer Kanye West, and reveals that Kanye ditched the controversial red ‘MAGA’ hat.

The Clipse member spoke on the song “What Would Meek Do” and opened up on his relationship with Meek Mill and watching the MMG star’s rise before he went to prison last year. Pusha T also speaks on DAYTONA‘s the controversial artwork featuring an image of Whitney Houston’s bathroom, the Drake beef and more.

Nardwuar and Lil’ Uzi Vert recently reconnected during The Breakout Winter Festival in Vancouver, Canada. Two years after their first meeting, The Human Serviette appears to have rattled the Philadelphia star somewhat. After speaking about their love for plaid, GG Allin memorabilia, and reminiscing about the early days, Lil’ Uzi Vert somewhat uncomfortable with Nardwuar knowing too much. At that point, Uzi takes a page from Kanye West and Kodak Black‘s recent viral moments and storms out of the interview.

Never the one to give up, Nardwuar chases Uzi through the arena and outside before the rapper is whisked away by security in a black SUV. Watch the funny and odd interview below.

To promote his new album Evil Genius, Gucci Mane stopped by Streetz 94.5 in Atlanta to spread the word and sit down for an interview. At one point during the conversation, Gucci Mane revealed that any past differences with Waka Flocka have been put aside and the two have reconciled. The news comes a month after Waka posted a video on Instagram, where he reaches out to Gucci to work things out.

We spoke one time after that, I reached out to him,” said Gucci, referring to the video posted by Waka. “We had a conversation. Everything’s in the past now.” During their rise in Atlanta’s trap scene, Gucci and his former protégé worked together under 1017 Records. The relationship started to dissolve in 2010, and tension between the two eventually lead to them parting ways.

With the No. 1 album in the country currently, Meek Mill continued his busy promo run with an appearance on The Daily Show on Tuesday (Dec. 12). Sitting down with Trevor Noah, the MMG star spoke on the journey over the past year from being in prison to releasing is Billboard chart-topping album, CHAMPIONSHIPS. An advocate for criminal justice reform, The 31-year-old gave viewers some background on his story, run in with the law, the struggles young black people face while imprisoned, and his own personal experiences in prison.

Cardi B was a guest on CBS Sunday Morning recently, where she discussed her childhood growing up in the Bronx, her past stripping career, the grind to becoming a pop star and more. Sitting down with CBS’ Maurice DuBois, the Invasion of Privacy rapper touched on the feeling earning her first No. 1 record with “Bodak Yellow” last year. From there Cardi B touches on the connection she has with her fans and being reachable. The hitmaker gives DuBois a tour of her neighborhood, Highbridge, where they visit the grocery store she first worked at and later stopped by the strip club where she first started making major money.

The Grammy-nominated star also touched on her beef with Nicki Minaj, and their rift being unnecessary and bad for business. “A lot of people like to say all publicity is good publicity. To me it’s not. That takes away [from] people paying attention to your craft,” she says. Cardi would also talk on trolls, online haters, and is seen making a surprise visit to her old high school. Meek Mill’s new album CHAMPIONSHIPS is set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week, projected to move 175k-200k units opening week. The MMG lyricist continued his current promo run with a visit to The Breakfast Club. During the near hour-long conversation, Meek spoke on the new album, reuniting with Drake, if Nicki Minaj tried to end Meek and Drake’s beef while she was dating the former, his recent prison stint, criminal justice reform, the internet being more relevant than television in society now, JAY-Z being the last artist to submit his “What’s Free” verse, albums he liked this year, ending any past beefs he had and more.
