Wednesday night was a first for two international artists in NYC. While Canadian singer The Weeknd made his Big Apple debut in Brooklyn, U.K.’s pop sensation Rita Ora took over S.O.B.’s in Manhattan. The Roc Nation star showed no sign of nervousness as she took the stage performing cuts like “Roc the Life,” her #1 hit in the U.K. “Hot Right Now,” and “R.I.P.” The stylish blonde singer surprised the crowd that included Sylvia Rhone (Epic Records), Wale and Melanie Fiona, with a cover of Jill Scott’s “He Loves Me” before changing into a Coogi sweater, a trademark of the late Notorious B.I.G. ending off with her Biggie-inspired single, “How We Do (Party).”

“We gotta establish ourselves first. [TDE] ain’t made it yet. I ain’t got no album out. I still gotta show and prove. If I feel like I made it now, than it’s over.”

Continuing on with our #HNKCoachella interview series, MissInfo.TV had the opportunity to talk to Kendrick Lamar minutes after he stepped off the stage with Childish Gambino. This was actually the first time Kendrick and Info met face-to-face (Special thanks to Punch/TDE).

Right in the middle of the VIP section, I flipped on my camera as Kendick and Info chopped it up about the Black Hippy movement, Kendrick’s work with A$AP Rocky, the craziest thing he witnessed at #Coachella2012 and more. Kendrick mentioned that he has a few records with Rocky in the stash, which were cut while on Drake’s Club Paradise tour. I know there were some murmurs of joint mixtape, but K.dot told us it was just hearsay. Watch until the end to hear Kendrick’s craziest Coachella moment.
