Miss Info has been raving about ever since she got to hear some of his new album out in L.A. (“rooster, rooster, rooster”). Now, it seems like Waka is  starting to set the hype-machine behind it…and he starts off by covering SPIN Magazine’s May/June “LOUD” issue. Not only does this cover characterize what his music embodies, it defines his personality and character. In this special issue, SPIN staff writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd ventures with Waka from Atlanta to Paris and observes his breakthrough in hip-hop. “Triple F Life” in stores June 12th.

It’s time to pop bottles and celebrate! A$AP Rocky has a lot to be proud of with his debut album, Long Live A$AP set to release in July. After a little wait, Rocky gives Hot 97’s Angie Martinez the green light to premiere his first official single “Goldie” (previously called “Cristal”). Sounds like Rocky plans to have the clubs knocking this summer, this A$AP x Hit-Boy collaboration a certified banger? Lets us know.

Wiz Khalifa’s no stranger to expanding his sound and reaching different avenues. For the first single off their new album Overexposed (June 26), Maroon 5 gets the Taylor Gang MC to add his signature touch on the Benny Blanco-produced “Payphone.” You can catch Maroon 5 and Wiz performing what’s sure to be a radio topper  on NBC’s The Voice tonight at 8 p.m. EST.

For his single titled “The Recipe,” K.Dot didn’t have to look far as he gets assistance from his mentor, Dr. Dre. The two Compton-bred artists come together over the sounds of another L.A. native in Scoop DeVille on this smooth, laid back offering. What’s the recipe you might ask? “Women Weed and Weather,” which is what the song was originally titled. Fans can purchase the song on iTunes tonight.

Late Friday evening, Nicki Minaj unveiled the tracklisting to her upcoming Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded LP (April 3). Among the songs that caught readers eyes was the heavyweight-featured “Champion.” The song boasts a lineup that includes Drake, Young Jeezy, and what caught many off guard, Nas. During his time at South by Southwest, MTV News’ Rob Markman caught up with Nasir Jones to speak on the record and how he got contacted to appear on the song.

“Nicki hit us up, I got love, so it was nothin’ — I did the record. It’s hip-hop music; music is music. If I feel it, I can get on it. I heard the track, I felt it, I loved it.”
