Tuesday night, Iggy Azalea performed in front of a sold-out crowd at Hollywood’s Dim Mak Studios in support of her Ignorant Art mixtape. Following live renditions of her the tape’s standouts including “Pu$$y” and “My World,” the Aussie-rapper had a treat for fans debuting a new song titled “Picture Me Rollin.” The song of course draws inspiration from Tupac Shakur, who Iggy has stated to be obssesed with and calls an idol. Iggy’s debut album The New Classic, is set to drop in June. T.I. will serve as executive producer on the project releasing via Interscope Records.

Living young, wild and free with lots of money isn’t as good as it sounds according to Wiz Khalifa’s interview with Sway on Shade 45. Despite being ranked at the No. 11 spot on Forbes’ 2011 Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, earning nearly $11 million, Wiz Khalifa revealed that he won’t be just rapping about the good life in his Prodigy inspired, upcoming sophomore album titled “O.N.I.F.C.”. The Pittsburgh MC said Prodigy’s debut album in 2000, “Head Ni*** In Charge”, inspired him to title his second album, explicitly standing for “Only Ni*** In First Class”.

“It’s inspired by Prodigy’s H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong and it really meant something, and it had the ‘n’ word in it, and I wanted to figure out something that was me too.”

“I was just talking about me being a young rich dude and being black. It looks crazy to them when I walk up to them and show them my ticket or I’m going in priority seating, They’re like ‘You’re sure?’”

What better co-sign for a new artist than one from a hip-hop heavyweight. Fresh off signing a label deal with Interscope Records, Iggy Azalea revealed that her debut album for now titled The New Classic, will be executive produced by “The King.” This will be the first time Iggy and T.I. will be working together.

“T.I.’s gonna be helping me with it, kind of A&R-ing, kind of executive producing. He called me up like, ‘Please?’ and I was like, ‘Definitely. You’re Tip; I love you — of course.’ So he’s gonna be helping me out, just reaching out to people and helping me find production and pointing me in the direction of things that I might like.”

The second phase of Shady 2.0 will commence this spring as Slaughterhouse’s upcoming album now has a release date of May 15th. The group’s second album, and first under Shady/Interscope, will be called welcome to: OUR HOUSE with Eminem handling executive producer duties. That isn’t all, as Joe Budden, Royce Da 5′9″, Crooked I, and Joell Ortiz, will be hitting the road for a 43-date U.S. tour starting March 8th.

Fans will also get a preview of the group’s new music as a live interactive chat will be conducted this evening (January 26) at 9:00PM EST, via their newly launched website.

Brash and outspoken, bringing together the East Coast, West Coast and Detroit in the middle, Slaughterhouse issued a self-titled EP last year and was featured on “Loud Noises” on the gold-certified, #1-charting Billboard album Hell: The Sequel from Bad Meets Evil, the collaboration between Royce and Eminem.  During the past year, the quartet has also been featured with Ludacris, Yelawolf, Travis Barker and T.I., among others.

Following the trashing of his stage set during The Heatwave Festival in Melbourne over the weekend, Kid Cudi spoke on the incident. According to Cudder, his mic was cut short as he was asked to end his set early due to poor time management by the organizers. That didn’t go well, as he felt fans were robbed by the promoters. Read his statement below, which includes a future warning.

If my set is EVER cut short at any show, im trashing the stage. Not out of anger, it takes a lot to get me furious nowadays, but out of principle. The fans always deserve a full set at all shows, especially when they spend their hard earned money on expensive tickets.

A lot of artist wouldnt do what I did in Australia, but I will. Spread the word. No matter the circumstance, cut my set short, im breaking shit. And next time im startin a riot. Me and my fans. Harlem up start Azealia Banks has officially signed to Universal Music, which she announced earlier today. Taking to her Twitter account, the 20-year-old rapper/singer broke the news saying “God just dealt me a new hand today I reaaaaaaaaaaallllly good hand,”she tweeted. “I am now officially signed to Universal Music.”

Previously signed to XL Recordings under Miss Bank$, she caught worldwide attention with her “212″ video and more recently Kanye West dubbing her “the future of music.” The new year will be busy for Azealia as she’ll be performing at Coachella in April, touring the U.K. starting on February 7th, and is planning to drop her debut album around May or June.

Last night, Chi-town’s Common held his first New York listener for his new album The Dreamer/The Believer. Set to drop next Tuesday, Comm really sounds like he got back in touch with his early rap roots. Paired with No I.D.’s gritty but soulful production, this album sounds like the big homie tapped into the MC that we used to know as Common Sense. I’m not saying he’s moving backwards musically but Common definitely has something to wake the streets up.

The single cover also came with a release date of New Year’s Eve for the highly-anticipated collab. 50 soon shot down any notion of the single seeing light in the near future, stating Interscope is to blame for the pre-mature leak.
