This was bound to happen sooner or later. Ever since Meek Mill even opened up his mouth about current rap-battle circuit and wanting to see Cassidy & Mook go at it., the hip-hop world has been egging on a beef. I think most people want it top stay on wax, and see it as just another thing to make hip-hop exciting. But things escalated last night when Meek put some of his thoughts about the current situation on Twitter. Cassidy of course saw the tweets and promised to deliver some new music as a response. He did so this morning with “Diary of a Hustler.” Honestly, he doesn’t even mention Meek or anything specfic, so Meek has any easy feat ahead of him. We’ll see what happens next.

Since when has Cassidy been “popping” for over a decade? He wasn’t on anyone’s radar until Meek said he wanted to see him vs. Murda Mook. I think this is one of those cases when a tweet gets misconstrued and twisted and now a rapper has a battery in his back charged up. Truth be told, I didn’t think Cassidy’s track was a diss but I really wouldn’t be interested in hearing them go back & forth with each other on a record.

Cassidy just wasted his time. Meek won’t battle him because his buzz is too big and he doesn’t want to risk Cassidy burying him. It’s a shame really because I think in today’s era they don’t value skill over success anyway so even after Cassidy bodied Meek it wouldn’t matter because Meek’s face is everywhere. If he says anything on wax it’ll be all subliminal.

But regardless, I feel like Cass has just been on cruise control since the B.A.R.S. album. Even this warning shot or whatever ninjas wanna call it is kinda lazy. He needs to find that fire. Right now I feel like Cass would just get bodied cause Meek is actually hungry.

The shit was iight but Cassidy def has done better. Meek nice but honestly he not ready for Cassidy and might never be because cassidy has perfected battle rap. Meek knows how to write songs and can battle rap. But niggas is puttin tht battery in cass back tho . Ever since Meek been tryna reach a broader base than just fuckin wit Philly niggas, ppl been wantin him and Cass on a track.
