New Music: Cassidy “Me, Myself & iPhone” (Meek Mill Diss)
Posted by Mr.North under Beef , New Music , Quotes[11] Comments
The battle is on, or so we think. Late Friday night, Cassidy gave DJ Scram Jones a song to premiere during his evening mixshow. And as he warned, the cut titled “Me, Myself and iPhone” isn’t flattering to Meek Mill. On the song, Cass speaks on his relationship status with one-time mentor Swizz Beatz, and the reason he decided to release “Condon Style.” The Philly MC saves the third verse to address his problems with Meek Mill, which started over talk of the two possibly battling.
“I raised son, I was around when that clown couldn’t even get his braids done….
Why he drop that, “Imma Boss” shit? Cause his boss say he a boss and he just on his boss’ dick.”
Listen to “Me, Myself and iPhone,” plus read Cassidy and Meek’s comments after the jump….

I’m not sure if The Takeover and Ether spoiled me as a rap fan. But every time I press play to listen to a so called diss record I expect to hear a barn burner. But rarely I have been pleased ever since.
I know NAS and Jay are two of the best rappers of all time. But they should be the standard for a diss record. Like dissect your opponent, attack his weaknesses and diminish his accomplishments. Nas and jay made it a case study. Even though I think Cas is alright, I think this is lazy for a guy with this punch line potential. If anything this is a miss opportunity.

I don’t follow many rap beefs cuz…well, there’s too many. They all seem to have something to prove with never a good reason to prove it. This track is hot though. I like how he played with the phone concept throughout the song. Cassidy is showing versatility. I like versatile MCs.

This joint was kind of slick I liked the concept but he needs to stop whining about Swizz and move on. I’m sure he could find a dope producer on the humble.

I like hearing this shit.
This speaks to how real Cass is.
He just addressed the shit that niggas could try to talk about, like looking in the mirror and a all objections.
Meek got a verse from Cass let’s not act like this was ether.
It shows that Cass can still put together concepts and bars that these niggas can’t do.
