Joints ight ……. but we might be expecting 2 much from these old artist tryin 2 come back. I’m just sayin, we miss these dudes in their prime and hiphop aint R&B you gotta improve your SONG writing skills,constantly display versatility and stay creative while still appealing 2 a younger audience and that balance is almost impossible because you older fan base don’t really wanna hear you on that young boi ish.
I believe that stifles a lot of these cats growth and they keep making bullish tryin 2 remain relevant and it usually backfires.

I love camron but it is true. The concept is very similar to NOVA’S and so is the video. But the songs are totally different. This is NOT uncommon in music and hiphop as NOVA said. Cam’ron experienced that as well as an up and commer…Thats how you become a big fish. Jayz, Biggie,50cent all of them did ghoswritting and came up with concepts for bigger artist. Camron saw the concept. he liked it. Offered for nova to be on the hook and for camrons co sign and nova kind of never responded I guess and camron had the concept and made another song. Nova didnt write killas song though and again, this is NOT UNCOMMON.
For example…”I just wanna luv you” one of Jayz biggest hits.The hook and concept was developed by Ommillio and Oschino from STATE P. Thats why Jayz let him sing the hook in return for the song. Its about scrathing backs and doing favors for that co sign. Cam’ron wrote crush on you for lil kim and other Junior Mafia music but was never credited or recieved publishing for it. He just let biggie use him cause he wanted that co sign and BIG introduced cam to his manager and thats HOW he got in the rap game. Thats all part of the game. Cam’ron was WRONG for taking the concept and passing it off as his own work. That was very wrong on camrons part but believe me the BEST in the industry have done it. Thats how u become a big fish

Cam’ron WRONGLY mimmicked the concept to your song. That was WRONG of camron to do that and NOT credit you. BUT he took a concept and made it a hot song. Its BETTER than NOVA’s song. The songs sound nothing alike and Camron even showed the NOVA guy love as NOVA said. This is all part of the game. Camron offered him a co sign and to be on the hook. There is a very big difference between taking a concept from a smaller rapper and stealing a song. Camron copied his concept. The songs sound nothing alike and camrons is better at the end of the day. Camron is not the first rapper to do this nor will he be the last so dont try to make camron out to be a demon for what your favorite rappers and singers do.
EXAMPLE
Beyonce makes a cross over version of ciaras hit records “Like a Boy”… Calls it “If I were a Boy” makes it less hip hop and more commercial and has a number 1 hit. Its the exact same thing.Nobody came for beyonce neck cause her,Jayz and Oprah can do no wrong.Its a lot of this.Not just camron. He should have gave the dude credit for his concept.But thats it. He owes him nothing. Its not like he took his lyrics and his song…He just copied his concept. Its like sampling and theres lots of that…

REEF DA LOST CAUZE used the concept of hating his job WAAAAAAAAAAY before that dude nova and Cam’ron so forget it. I wouldnt mind if the concept was even slightly original, but who the fuck out there actually likes their job excluding actors, rappers etc…Very few I would think.

Cam is a dope hip-hop street icon but as far as his ability to rap, it fluctuates like N.Y. weather. I respect the homie though. He is a hustler. What he needs to understand is that Hip-Hop for the 09 is about media visiblility and making songs that sell, i.e., radio friendly music. Cam is still one-dimensional as a rapper if he can’t prove to the hip-hop world that he can rap about something other than being a drug dealer. He’s a millionare through rap music but he still prefers to engage in the drug trade. Come on Cam!
