The Shmurda team was out in heavy numbers this past Monday night in New York City. A week after Scarface and Living Colour took over the ALIFE backyard, Epic Records’ Yo Gotti and Bobby Shmurda hit the small stage earlier this evening. Past capacity as usual, the crowd grew a bit impatient as the DJ cut Bobby’s “Hot N**ga” back and forth numerous times, but after a bout a 10 minute delay, the Flatbush crew rushed the set at the right time.

Pacing himself and chanting the lyrics to his summer hit, Bobby built off the crowd’s energy before really exploding with his signature move: the hat launch. Bobby let his hat go high in the air and pretty much won the crowd over with that move. After “Hot Nigga,” Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel proved they had more to offer and tore it down with performances of “Computers” and “Shmurda Dance.” They had dumb energy and a lot of dancehall inspired moves for each track.
