According to various sources, Bobby Shmurda has accepted a plea bargain and will serve 7 years in prison. TMZ reported the news today (Sept 9) with a few photos of Bobby in the courtroom.

Bobby Shmurda just pled guilty in his murder conspiracy case.

Shmurda, has been jailed since December 2014 in a case where more than 15 defendants were charged with various crimes, including murder, attempted murder and drug dealing.

The rapper was originally charged with conspiracy to commit murder and several weapons and drug charges associated with gangs.

According to the deal, Shmurda pled to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon. The other charges were dismissed, and he’ll get 7 years in prison and 5 years probation.

UPDATE (10/19): Bobby Shmurda was officially sentenced to seven years in state prison earlier today.

According to XXL, the 22-year-old rapper received one to three years for conspiracy in the fourth degree and seven years for criminal possession of a weapon. The sentences will run concurrently and be followed by five years of post-release supervision.

However, Bobby claims that he “was forced by [his] attorney to take the plea.” According to TMZ, he even turned to his lawyer in open court and said he wanted to fire him.
