It’s been three months since the tragic death of Whitney Houston. On Wednesday night, the pop icon’s ex-husband Bobby Brown made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to mourn the best way he knows how, through music. While it’s odd Bobby is releasing his first album in 14-years, The Masterpiece due June 5, the singer used the late-night television cameo to perform the project’s first single “Let Me Die.” The emotional farewell song features lyrics admitting past mistakes and regrets in their highly-publicized rocky relationship.
“I guess I (messed) up pretty bad/I didn’t know who you were/I didn’t know what we had … Now I’m stuck living in the past/Trying to get the pieces back/But I guess now you’re gone.”

Can’t really comment on the song, only Bobby and Whitney truly knew what went on their relationship behind close doors.
