When rappers aren’t giving each other watches, its cars. YMCMB is reaping the benefits from a great 2011 it looks like as Cash Money CEO’s Birdman and Slim had a couple of special gifts for Lil’ Wayne and Mack Maine. Baby treated himself and Weezy with brand-new 2012 Bentleys, while Mack received a spanking new Rolls Royce Phantom.
Mack’s reaction throughout the video is best, as for me? No words.

I think this is the part where I get mad, start hating and say they’re stupid and will be broke in 10 years….but I already did that 12 years ago, and here they are, still stunting to the maximum and running the game…these guys have had one of the longest hip hop reigns ever

Whats sad about this is bird man has to almost go out of his way to make sure they capture what he spends his money on just for proof that he’s not struggling. Essentially its him trying to out-purchase himself every time and taking it a step further than the last outrageous thing he did with money. Image is a bitch, he’s almost compelled to “not look broke or average”
Although you make valid points @should longevity and smart business savy does count for something and its his money if he has it why not? but after he lost that patriots bet it’s comical to see him go to this extreme to look like a 5 million dollar bet doesn’t hurt even him. you don’t find this outrageous? trying to hard ? or maybe i’m just the common man that finds this ridiculous even by bird man standards lol

Nothing to be sad about. Why? Because Baby is a lot smarter than anybody gives him credit for. You’d think this much would be obvious over nearly 15 years of sustained success, but people get too caught up in the tats and the broken english to fully get it.
The stunting and all the public displays of wealth aren’t the attempts of a desperate man to prove he isn’t struggling….it’s promotion of his brand. There was a story done on them on CNBC, titled The Rise of the New Black Overclass. Great piece where they broke down how there’s a method to all of Baby’s madness. Youtube it.

I sell cars for a living and I would have loved to be the sales man to sell 2 Bentleys and a Rolls Royce to Birdman and YMCMB.
What your forgeting is there’s people like me with thousands in student loan debt, purchased my 1st home @ 25 and this would have made my day.
A lot of hours, man power, ingenuity and technology development went into those cars for people of a certain tax bracket to enjoy. There’s nothing wrong with having expensive cars.
If it was a philanthropy issue, kids in Somalia, Ethiopia, Libya etc cant consume money what they need is your time, if you felt strongly about helping the homeless nobody is stoping you from buying cheap blankets, toiletries, donating to charities and volunteering at any of the UNICEF, Red Cross centres etc.

Wayne just dont know thats his entire pay check for his last album sales lol and they gone recoup the difference… What I dont get is why Baby buying wayne cars? Wayne is the boss of the show, he’s the earner, he should be able to buy his own car and as many of them as he wants.. Why baby feels the need to buy him a car is beyond me and what happened to the bugatti? Was the lease up on that hahaha
they have had a crazy run that has to be said…

Why can’t it just be a matter of people working hard and reaping the benefits and having fun? More power to them. I love Mac’s statement of “I was driving a Cavalier when I was 15.” He seemed to really appreciate the magnitude of the gift so I don’t see how its a waste. I’m sure at this point after like 15 years, those guys know what’s for playing and what’s for saving.

I view the whole spectacle thru logical lenses… Baby has to maintain an image and as such these extravagant purchases have to be publicized in order to showcase his image. One should note however that he changes cars frequently. So the real questions are simple.
1. Did he trade in several cars and in turn get these 3 with reduced out of pocket cash. (Most likely)
or
2. He leased these and likely paid the terms up from using a 1omt lease method (A good possibility)
Ultimately I look at the cars and drivers and know that its not what they really like. He’s buying them because he cam, because that’s what the image dictates and because he feels like he is stating ahead of the game.
I don’t mind the cars, I mind the ignorance of not wanting to show some restraint and financially responsibility in the eyes of his fans. I don’t he will go broke they own many of the masters and so on, thats money one way or another. But those who have the most money spend it wisely. Look at Warren Buffett, anyone know what he’s driving nowadays? Take a look its surprising
