We were all witnesses to a sporting event for the ages. The Baltimore Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII in dramatic fashion by the slimmest of margins, holding off the San Francisco 49ers 34-31. As a new legacy begins for Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco, another one continued as Beyoncé gave an unforgettable performance. During and long after the thrilling halftime show, celebrities such as First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Diddy, Fabolous, Kim Kardashian and others hit Twitter to give their reviews of Bey’s spectacular set.

Shortly after the mini-concert, a power outage in the stadium caused husband Jay-Z to cleverly tweet his wife’s electric night shut down the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The two were caught in a warm embracing moment as hubby congratulated wife on her show. Along with posting behind-the-scenes photos last night, Beyoncé wrote a note recognizing the important accomplishment for African-American women, and sharing the night with Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson.

“What a proud day for African-American women!!!
Kelly, Michelle, Alicia, JHUD,
You are all beautiful, talented, and showed so much class!”
