The “visual album” comprising of 14 songs and 17 music videos sold 617,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. The R&B diva becomes the first female artist to have their first five albums (Dangerously In Love (2003), B’Day (2006), I Am… Sasha Fierce (2008) and 4 (2011)) take top spot on the album charts.

Along with surpassing her previous highest sales week in 2006’s B’Day with 541,000, it’s the largest selling week by a female artist this year, and fourth-highest sales week overall in 2013. As previously reported, Queen Bey’s fifth solo album made history by becoming the fastest-selling title globally on iTunes with 828,773 copies sold.
