Congratulations to new mom and dad Beyonce and Jay-Z! It’s a baby girl!

We’ve had almost as many false alarms about Beyonce’s labor as we had about her pregnancy, but this time it seems official….The Daily News reports that Beyonce checked into NYC’s Lenox Hill Hospital on Friday night, taking over an entire floor of the labor and delivery department:

Hospital workers placed tape over security cameras and are forcing employees to turn in cell phones when they arrive for their shifts, the source said. Several security guards were spotted patrolling the outside of the hospital Saturday night.
A Lenox Hill staffer confirmed that a patient named Ingrid Jackson was in a “labor room.”

Yup, Beyonce’s alleged birthing alias is…Ingrid Jackson. I can’t wait to hear the story behind that one. (O hay, Ingrid. You too, Ingrid.) Bey’s stans are now gathering at Lenox Hill…and checking in via Foursquare. LOL!

All of this sounds similar to Dec. 29th’s false Beyonce birth reports….but this time, the Daily News claimed to have a real Lenox Hill source, and then there’s this tweet from HiphopDX’s news editor Steven Horowitz:

Horowitz reassured the fanatic throngs that he wasn’t not lying. And he has no reason to. But the most convincing evidence came from Jay-Z’s longtime friend and Decoded co-author Dream Hampton. She hinted tonight that Baby Carter was born on the same day as legendary Black author Zora Neale Hurston:

So hopefully, now all we have to do is wait for an official family press conference! And hopefully a jubilant baby announcement freestyle from new dad, Jay-Z!

E! Online is reporting that the baby’s name is Blue Ivy Carter, but that is not confirmed. Others are saying that it’s Ivy Blue Carter. I like that it’s simple, wonder whether that’s a homage to relatives or a first date…or the Yankees?!? ; ) NOTE: The savvy readers are suggesting that Ivy stands for IV, as in the roman number for 4…which has long been the couple’s lucky number. As for Blue…that’s Jay-Z’s favorite color. Ah haaaa! All numerology everything!
