Earlier this month, Jay-Z officially announced that he would be producing music for the upcoming The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Hov is working with composer Craig Armstrong and music supervisor Anton Monsted on the project. “As soon as I spoke with Baz (director) and Leonardo, I knew this was the right project,” said Jay-Z. “The Great Gatsby is that classic American story of one’s introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion.” Now, it has been confirmed that Beyonce will be teaming up with Andre 3000 for a special Amy Winehouse cover to be included on the soundtrack. E! News confirmed that Hov’s wife and 3 stacks will reinterpret “Back to Black.” The Great Gatsby will premiere during the opening of the Cannes Film Festival on May 15.
