Celebrating Black History Month, some of entertainment’s finest come together for the 6th annual BET Honors. Taped back in January at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., the event pays tribute to icons in the fields of music, literature, and education. The 2013 edition honored Halle Berry, Chaka Khan, the “Godfather of Black Music” Clarence Avant, educator T.D. Jakes, and four-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie.

Hosted by Gabrielle Union, the evening featured musical tributes from Erykah Badu, Brandy, Alicia Keys, Mint Condition, The S.O.S. Band, Kem, Wayne Brady, and Ledisi. Aired earlier tonight on BET, you can catch the highlight performances below.
