Ciara & Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Brandy, SWV Celebrate ‘Black Girls Rock!’ 2012 (Photos)

It was all about the ladies on Saturday night in New York City as BET celebrated “Black Girls Rock!” at the Loews Paradise Theatre in Manhattan. The stars came out as this year’s annual event was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King. Alicia Keys, Kerry Washington, Dionne Warwick, Janelle Monáe, Susan Taylor, and Dr. Hawa Abdi were all honored during the celebration for their achievements, empowering fellow black women.
What’s a celebration without music? That was covered as Brandy, India.Aire, Keyshia Cole, SWV, Alicia Keys, Luke James, Anthony Hamilton, and Eric Benét, and Ciara with special guest Missy Elliott all performed on stage during the show’s taping. Fans can catch BET’s “Black Girls Rock!” 2012 when it airs Sunday, November 4 at 8 p.m. EST.

Lowes Paradise Theater in the Bronx…been held in The Bronx for the last few years…Yes, I know it’s difficult to believe that the Bronx is still part of the city
