Drake, Khaled, Rick Ross and Weezy ‘I’m On One’
MrNorth: The 2011 BET Awards went off without last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This year’s festivities was hosted by actor/comedian Kevin Hart, with Chris Brown leading the field with six nominations including: Video of The Year. The night’s performances definitely has some memorable moments from Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Jill Scott, Ace Hood and more.
Honorees Steve Harvey and Patti LaBelle received the prestigious Humanitarian and Lifetime Achievement Award respectively.
Things were going smooth until the People’s Choice Disaster. You’ll see what I mean after you press play below.
In what must be the most awkward moment in award show history, Tiffany Green was chosen to present the Viewer’s Choice Award. First, she said Chris Brown won. Two seconds later, she backtracked and said that actually, Rihanna ft. Drake – “What’s My Name” was the winning video. Drake came out and rightfully said, “Well, that was awkward.” Little did he know more embarrassment was yet to come!
Tiffany Tweeted:
The tablet fuckin said CHRIS BROWN….the TELEPROMPTER said Rihanna. What the FUCK?????? Goin home.
Finally, as the show closed, the truth came out that Chris Brown really did win! But the real winner is Miss Info, with the tweet of the night after that uncomfortable moment:

Chris brown playing the villain role paid off for him lol, he was all over the award show. Overall i enjoyed the show Kevin Hart did a decent job.

are Mexicans allowed to win BET awards? is there a different awards show for every race? or is this only a skin color thing (light, medium dark, darker, etc.)?

First it was Recovery not Relapse and yeah why wasnt he up for anything?
he is the greatest rapper alive, his album sold 4 mill, had two huge singles with Not Afraid and Love the way you lie, both I believe hit top spot on the charts, yet he isnt up for artist of the year?
I guess they dont want an awards show on BET, black entertainment television to have white rappers up for awards and winning them.
Doesnt matter cause its not like he would have won anything anyway, only Wayne, Kanye, Drake and I guess Ross and Nikki can win BET awards.

Two questions….
1) Why wasn’t (2011 Grammy nominated) Kellz nominated for Best R&B Male Artist? I know everyone at BET heard and has that Love Letter album. It’s crazy how you can be found not guilty in a court of law, and guilty and hung among your peers.
2) Yes, Ricky should keep his shirt on, BUT, why was EVERY grown ass man sagging his pants? Where was their “no man” before they hit the stage?

my only complaint is where in sam hill was Fantasia for the Patti Labelle tribute…..SMDH. and where does Ross and Khaled keep finding those 2 piece outfits circa 1995 all they need are some Bally sneakers, if not already!!!
