Before the bottles….Weezy has a civilized chat with Tim Westwood and DJ Semtex
Posted by Miss Info under videos[11] Comments
I’m glad these goodies happened before things got all crazy at Lil Wayne’s concert…
Weezy talks and rap to my UK potna Tim Westwood (make sure to check out your girl on Tim’s show every saturday)…..
And Weezy talks to DJ Semtex…..now everyone has already noticed that Wayne seems a bit offended that he hasnt gotten a callback from Slim Shady yet (“He’s Just Not that Into You”), but what about his stack of count-em 4 waxpaper cups of that purple drank? That’s hydration : (

Dead Wrong w/ BIG
Renegade W/ Jay
Never Enough W/ 50
We Ain’t w/ Game
Forgot about Dre w/ Dre
Patiently Waiting w/ 50
Go to sleep w/ DMX
Bitch please w/ Snoop, Dre and Xzibit
when I’m Gone w/ Pac
Has Eminem ever had a problem locking shit on a track with the biggest names in rap? The distinctive thing about Wayne is that he is doing the playful wordplay thing combined with the lyricism. Kanye does that as well. However, that is Eminem’s bread and butter. 16 vs 16, i think Wayne knows he would get blown of the track with slim.

i am a young black man from harlem so all race aside but weez is not on em’s level on his best cup of juice.cant compare the 2.i remember wayne when baby did not let him curse (remember that)and he was still talented but he devolped a swag threw different rappers,em that was his born talent his wordplay is dangerous (you take some big and some pac and you mix it up in a pot, sprinkle a lil big l inside and whut the fuc do you got.)oh man dam…

Interesting parellel between both:
when Em was Wayne’s age, he was heavily into opiates- vicodin, codine, darvocet, percocet. The rhymes reflected it.
Now wayne is heavily into the opiate-laced promethazine, and has the same stream of consciousness rap.

ok this semtex clip is depressing as hell. i’m mad that Wayne’s defending his syrup habit like that, shaking the cup. sigh* hopefully wayne can look back at this video while in rehab down the line and pontificate like Bubbles on The Wire. one day…

Lil Wayne and Eminem are at different ends of the rap game. Lil Wayne makes good music, as does Eminem. Both are different. Eminem is a lyricist, he thinks hard about what he’s gonna put down on that paper. Lil Wayne wants the listener to understand what he’s saying on a level, he don’t care about being poetical. He just wants to tell you.
Both are different. Therefore a collab wouldn’t be necessary.
It’s like Kanye producing for Dr.Dre. The outcome won’t sound right.
