arsenio hall kanye west

Sway (who claims he does, in fact, got the answers) isn’t the only one who’s irked by Kanye West’s endless rants. During a recent New York radio interview, Yeezus wrongly used Arsenio Hall as an example of a black entertainer who was fired for “turning up too much.” Speaking at the GRAMMY Nominations Concert in Los Angeles last Friday, Arsenio responded to Kanye’s comments, and he completely shut him down.

Not only refuting his claim that he was fired from his show (“it was not racism, it was not a plot… I just left my show!”), Arsenio called out Mr. West for his irresponsible use of the word “slave” in his songs:

I hate the word ‘slave’ used in songs. The f*ck outta here. Do you know what that word is? Do you know what that word is all about? Nobody can use ‘slave’ in pop culture. If you’re in the music business, you shouldn’t f*ck with that word. Too serious an era. Too serious a problem in America. There is no one that’s free to move around this country that should use the word ‘slave.’ Do you know what it meant to slaves?
