News surfaced earlier this week that Ariana Grande pulled out of the 2019 GRAMMY Awards this weekend, due to a disagreement over which songs the singer wanted to perform. While Grande wanted to perform her latest single “7 Rings” in its entirety, GRAMMY producers wanted the pop star to do a medley and wanted to chose which songs. On Thursday (Feb. 7), GRAMMYs producer Ken Ehrlich told the Associated Press that Ariana declined on performing because she “felt it was too late for her to pull something together.” After catching wind of that comment, the singer has fired back, calling out Ehlrich for lying.

I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me,” said Grande, who sent out a series of tweets on the situation. “I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity & self-expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend.” Grande, who is passing on the ceremony, has two nominations for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ (Sweetener) and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’ (“God Is a Woman”).
