We’re wishing our pal AraabMuzik a speedy recovery! The superproducer and EDM DJ was shot in the back during a possible robbery attempt in his hometown in Rhode Island. He’s recovering in the hospital and his manager Duke Da God sent us an update on Araab’s condition…

Duke Da God, on AraabMuzik’s injury:

“He’s in stable condition at the hospital in RI.
He was shot in the back last night…wrong place wrong time with wrong person.
He should be in the hospital for a week or so and expected to make a full recovery!”

Very scary, but the important thing is that he won’t be permanently injured. Just two weeks ago, Vice posted a piece on AraabMuzik’s $50,000 diamond-covered MPC mixer pendant, with movable knobs and shifters. The jewels would definitely attract the wrong kind of attention, but with all the festival gigs and production work that Araab has been doing, the material objects are purely replaceable commodities.
