In late August, Andra Day and Common joined forces on “Stand Up for Something,” a track off the original motion picture soundtrack Marshall. Hitting theatres this Friday (Oct. 13), the film shines the light on Thurgood Marshall, the country’s first African-American Supreme Court justice. Co-written by Diane Warren and Common,
the soulful singer and Chicago rapper appeared on The Ellen Show this week to perform their powerful collaboration.
