It was an emotional week for David Letterman and everyone attached to the show, which ran for 33 years straight on the late night TV circuit. On Wednesday night (May 21), Letterman took to the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater for his final show.

“I know people are well-meaning, but I am sick and tired … [of], ‘What are you going to do now that you’re retiring?’ You know what I’m going to do, by God? I’m going to become the new face of Scientology,” Dave joked in his opening monologue.

His final Top 10 List was also an insane start studded segment dubbed “Top Ten Things I’ve Always Wanted to Say to Dave” — which included cameos from the likes Alec Baldwin, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Peyton Manning, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tina Fey, Barbara Walters and Steve Martin, with Bill Murray delivering No. 1.
