al lindstrom hip-hop awards

Al Lindstrom‘s hip-hop awards season is back, ladies and gentlemen. For another year running, the panel of journalists, radio hosts and industry vets alike including Joe La Puma, Brian “B.Dot” Miller, Combat Jack, Jayson Rodriguez and Jeff Sledge, as well as new addition Charlamagne Tha God, sit down at the roundtable to reflect on debate the year in hip-hop, barbershop style. In this first clip, the guys vote between Chance The Rapper, Troy Ave and Rich Homie Quan for Rookie of 2013. Who you got?

UPDATE: Most Improved debated: Drake, Mac Miller, Eminem, Run the Jewels (El-P & Killer Mike), Pusha T or Big Sean? I’m not mad at that winner at all.

UPDATE: 6th Man of the Year debate: Action Bronson, J. Cole, A$AP Rocky or Macklemore?

UPDATE: MVP debate: Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar or Drake? This one’s the best of the bunch.
