A Tribe Called Quest Tells Angie Martinez ‘Beats, Rhymes, and Life’ Film Has Their Approval

Q-Tip and Ali appeared on Angie Martinez a little while ago. Despite of all the drama going on between them and Michael Rapaport, all members says ‘Beats, Rhymes, and Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest’ has their approval. Phife eventually called into to reassure fans everything was all good between everyone.
One of the original problems Q-Tip says was the lack of Tribe music incorporated into the flick and some issues with contract issues and producer credits. But everything is cool now, the fellas said they were able to help make some edits to it before the final version drops this Friday.
Tip also said he worked on a few songs for Watch The Throne but still isn’t sure if any will make the final cut.

Why Angie gas the situation like that? hahah low key throwing shots at Fife and Rappaport? Fife should have gotten more ear time about the movie to brush dude off like that was FUCKING LAME!!!! At the end of the day nobody dont give a fuck about ATCQ lets just be real…They had a period I still I still like they records but I would rather watch a movie about Publie Enemy or something like that.. the sheer fact that dude wanted to do a movie about them is an honor and for Q.Tip whacky ass to take issue with it and start beef is silly!!
I probably would have supported the flick had Q. Tip not been so fucking gay about everything… now I will just wait to that shit hits a torrent site! Whack shots taken at the project!!

@ Banko – If you really admire this thing we call Hip Hop. I suggest you do yourself a service and educate & inform yourself on the social relevance of ATCQ and why they were needed for [insert whomever your favorite rapper is] to even record what you call a “hit record”.
To give a small example, I read an article with Dr Dre which said he was inspired to go into the studio and create The Chronic after hearing A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders Album.
To think only a small few are anticipating this film is silly and uninformed.

I liked the film It answered alot of my questions as far as the break up and make up of the group but also left many unanswered. (yes its leaked online already) I would have liked to see more of q-tip family life and his world outside of music like we did with the other members of the group.
