Earlier this week, Pharrell twitpic’d a photo of some customized all-back Timbs. First, people thought he might have been wearing a new Timberland x Chanel collaboration because of the CC logo on the right sneaker. But Skateboard P set Complex and other outlets straight on that real fast. Well, this past Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting P and sharing some opening insightful conversation with the fashion and music trend setter (more on that later).

It turns out the kicks are really just some tagged timbs he did himself. This kind of thing of popular in the mid-nineties when grunge and punk rock was all over MTV. Kids would tag up their Jansport backspacks, sneakers, binders, books, shoes, skateboards etc.
