That is possibly the worst “english” accent I’ve heard in a while, maybe they should book him for a mary poppins remake.
Though his faux british flow was pretty good sounding like roots manuva after a few too many drinks.

@I….oh shit, wait whats the better term? I will say that british accent is british accent. Just like there are korean accents, french accents etc. It think it would be misleading to say english accent because there are many different english-speaking peoples, but with various accents etc, right?
But I def appreciate the insight : )

Agreed, missinfo. British is the clearest term. It is evidenced by the fact that even those that reject its use know precisely what you mean. I liked the track. Funny

most people prefer “English” sans the accent
but yeah, English accent if you must or to make it even clearer he’s attempting a South-London accent (or a really bad East London accent – Shout out to Hackney).
You have to remember that England alone has a good twenty-odd distinctive accents so bunching the whole of Britain together does a huge disservice to the rest of the British Isles.

@nation. A Jamaican accent. Hardly. Take it froma an actual Jamaican, his accent is far from being a Jamaican accent.

Why can’t you americans accept that we are not “british”, we are English?
Yeh sure there’s lots of countries where people speak the English language, but all those countries have names of their own. You know, like “Australia” (they speak with an *Australian* accent) or “Jamaica” (they have a *Jamaican* accent)or “Canada” (they have a *Canadian* accent) – you see, it’s really easy once you get the hang of it. And here in *England*, we speak with *English* accents. Simple. There’s only one country called England. So to say “English accent” is only confusing if you’re really thick.
“English” is what we call ourselves, it’s our cultural identity, why you want us to change it just to make youze feel more comfortable? Sorry mate. English is what we are, so that’s what you should call us if you don’t wanna be some stupid cultural imperialist telling people how to name their own identity.
The word “English” might sound weird to you, but that isn’t our problem. Get used to it. Learn to call us by our name. Anything else is insulting us.
