Earlier this afternoon, 50 Cent released a “Public Service Announcement” via his website to speak on the lack of support his Street King campaign has received to date. The latest initiative, his 1 Like = 1 Meal campaign where every “Like” on Street King’s Facebook page feeds a hungry child has only received 300,000 “Likes.” The goal of reaching 1 million seems unlikely as there’s only 2 days left in the 7-day campaign.

I dont care what 50 does people want to see him fail so they wont support shit he does..They know that the success of this product will make him money but it will also help people but before they support him they will let people go hungry lol thats hate. This is why he needs to just tour year round because people will still pay for tickets to see him live.. But any album he drops will move 200k first week or less… And his tracks wont et any real spins.. we all know 50 cent is a shock Jock certain things in his past he has done for the value of generating Musical interest Im the first to admitt that. But I really believe that this is just a good charitable non profit org partner with the U.N to feed millions of hungry children. It’s quite sad to see hip hop has become so oblivious to realities; that doesn’t glorify anything that has to do with luxury. I made sure i purchased the energy drink and liked it on face book ; just because i know there aren’t any hidden agendas. I’m just as dissapointed as 50 with the hip-hop community lack of integrity.

But to touch on the hypothetical Jay-Z notion, I’ll say this…More than likely, if it was Jay-Z, nobody would believe that, 1. it was a REAL non profit, then they’ll probably say, 2. that somehow he was pocketing the money for himself and no children were being fed. & then finally

I respect his cause and all the great things that it will accomplish. I truly hope that he has ” woken up & won’t turn a blind eye anymore”. But in the mean time… he needs to shut the F up because he gets no benefit of the doubt. We all no know that he’s the biggest publicity whore and he’ll do anything for attention. He’s done everything to this date to make himself relevant again. It’s all been a failure. Oh NOW he’s a humanitarian!!! i think if a lot of wel off rappers,movie stars,basketball players ect got together and went to the poor places took time and went door to door with sum help,they could really help them not jus one meal help them with their life.but thats just me thinking.not saying give everyone money but help their kids help them in sum programs ect,lot of em donate money but lot of times that money is stolen and never ends up helping .thats why you gotta set up something where you go to the peoples where they live no matter how ruff it is.

I agree that he probably has an agenda but I was always told to do the right thing regardless of the intention of the person receiving it. So when I used to give money in church I closed my eyes to the fact the Bishop was driving a Rolls Royce, when I give money to the homeless I ignore the alcohol on their breath and when I “like” on 50′s Facebook page I ignore the fact that he’s a money grubbing ego maniac and realize that I believed it went to a good cause. At the end of the day, we should try to do whats right and not worry about the outcome.
