Despite taking the indie route and releasing his relatively successful Animal Ambition LP earlier this month, 50 Cent still owes Shady/Aftermath/Interscope the long-awaited Street King Immortal album, which he says will finally see the light of day this year. During a recent interview with Connecticut’s Hot 93, Curtis briefly announced that he’s got a concrete release date for SKI: September 16.

Coincidentally, that’s also happens to be the day his former nemesis The Game will be dropping his own album, Blood Money La Familia. It’s not exactly on par with the 50 versus Kanye showdown of 2007, but it adds to the giant ’00s flashback of a year we’ve been having so far. Who knows? Jayceon could even be back with the Unit by then (okay, maybe not, but we can hope).
