At the end of the day Moe Dee competed with 17yr old LL and he didn’t have to… Shan competed with KRS 1 and he didnt have to!! Hip is about that competition as an ambassador of the game he should know that! But then he’s never fought his own battles and only snipped shots at people he thought he could get away with snipping shots at!! So how do we respect that? The way he addresses beef is little more than mumbling under his breath…that shits annoying!
Even if you now hate beans you have to admit that just a month ago all was well and Jaz-O was telling people he talked to beans and they were cool which turned out to be 2yrs ago and how can anyone say its alright to use beans to fight your battles and after he’s shown himself to be a good artist, loyal friend and damn good rapper you dump his career and sign the guy he defended you against and won! The only thing that ever threw me off in a Jay response was Jim Jones…Then I thought about it, Jay won’t respond to Cam, but if he responds to Jim, then it would seem Jim Jones is bigger then Cam. Hence, internal beef would start in Dip Set and they would break up….Just a thought.

Cam was successful then cause he had a hot album, a unique sound and a different style. Not because of Jay-z roc chain. If that were a fact then his other artist would have had the same buzz & numbers.

I think we all know 50 cant see Hov lyrically, but thats not what this would be IMO. 50 has no lack of enemies, but now Beanie, Game, Jim Jones, Cam, Dame, Budden…etc all have public issues with Jay. The public is fickle, and 50 has been throwing jabs long enough to suggest that he’s done his HW for a potential battle.
50 might be a lot of things, but dumb isn’t one of them. He gets as much mileage jabbing and talking over outros as a lot of guys get from 100 vicious bars.

if u think this is a just a strategy to sell BISD your an EPIC FAIL! last-time i checked this recycled track isnt on the album.
this is part of another bigger plan. BISD is a wrap. as soon as Nov 16th arrives 50 is officially off interscope and on to bigger things.

That’s what I mean Van. Hip Hop is suffering big right now. It’s not a good look for the industry. You don’t see Country stars, Rock stars, or even Salsa stars beefing like in Hip Hop. I don’t doubt that what 50 is doing is about selling records but also, I think it’s the principle too. Jay-Z is the only rapper in the game that gets to have it both ways. He gets to criticize subliminally but then gets to be above it. Then when challenged, you got every big name industry cat like a Funk Master Flex, jumping to his defense saying that Hov can’t be touched. He’s too big.
From a fan’s perspective It’s always been about image to Jay. That’s something that can’t be compromised for him to have success. Rappers like Tupac, Kanye, and Andre 3000, could and can show their vulnerabilities and still sell records. 50 knows that the reason Jay won’t compete is that he can’t take the hit publicly.
Fans have really short memories. Nas almost ended this guy’s career and that was even after The Blueprint. Ever since, Jay has not wanted to compete. Everyone else does, why not Jay-Z? Why is it assumed that he’ll murder his competition when the one time he stepped up, he got dealt with? I mean, even now you hear him being out rapped by Kanye on his own record and no one is calling him on that. 50 knows that and is basically pulling his card.
Look, part of Hip Hop is competition. You don’t get to just walk between the raindrops. Jay for some odd reason gets that pass and I think 50 has decided to challenge him on that. If that’s too much for Jay, then he should stop rapping and get back to his other business ventures.

I agree with #20 on everything especially the last few lines but not on Rick Ross! Rick Ross is still making hits and good music. FYI. Rick Ross debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with “Deeper Than Rap”.
But really, 50 is a has-been MC! He needs to stick to being a good business-man! Jay manages to excel at MCing & business! 50 only had 1 good album, Get Rich or Die Trying! His new album SUCKS and NO pull-a-rabbit- outta-hat rap beef gonna change that! Even his commited fan-base is gonna figure that out soon enough! 50 has been taking jabs at Jay for years and vice versa. Yo gotta ask yourselves…why now? Why officially call Jay out now? 50 is a smart man & Jay-Z is a smart man. @Ray Get real.. 50 would never leak his own album a whole MONTH before the release date. People always think everything he does is some well calculated step.. that’s bullshit. You give him waaay too much credit! Take for example his biggest accomplishment (finance wise).. he didn’t KNOW Coca-Cola was gonna buy Vitamin Water. If he did he probably would’ve bought more than 10% of the company. Be clear: that was not HIS deal. He didn’t negotiate it nor did he capitalize the most off of it. Add to that all of his failures (G-Unit Clothing, The Money & Power reality show, his bad acting in even worse movies, signing Mobb Deep and MOP, and dropping Game from G-Unit then watching him sell more than Banks and Yayo).

Again, the ability to sell records as opposed to having the potential do great music is not a good enough. We should really demand more from these guys. If Jay-Z makes a wack album (Blueprint 2, Kingdom Come), I’ll be the first to say it. This situation is real easy to sum up.. Both of them are playing chess. Its Jay’s move. He can see fifty’s move and fall for the bait, or he can ignore the bait move, make a meaningless move, and cause 50 to make another move thus opening up his defense for a more vicious attack. When you making strategic moves, the thing to watch out for is the move that’s obvious. That’s not the move to respond to… 50 is a clown, and Jay is a sell out. Out of all parties, I respect Beans the most, cause he just keeping it honest with himself and others.

I love the way everyone keeps spitting out these album sales and that’s all good. Bigs to both of them. I DID RESEARCH on the album sales for both of them and there are other artists that have sold more than both, one of them being, Nelly. But that’s good for Hip Hop…not this beefing shyt.
