My 2 cents: I still like 50, in spite of all his antics, mainly because he makes me laugh, and also because he reminds me of the kind of rap I grew up on. Before, rappers going at each other was understood and accepted. A rapper could never get too comfortable; he wasn't supposed to. If he did, another rapper would come for his spot. It seems that a lot of the newer hip-hop fans want hip-hop to be this soft, cuddly environment where everyone gets along. But that's never been what hip-hop is. Back in the day, every artist, even the conscious ones, was always ready to do battle, point blank period. Also, it seems that fans now are very sensitive and maybe identify a little too closely with the artists, most of whom are nothing in real life like how they act in public.
