the comedy is smart because , theres a lot of people that hate fifty for a lot of the negativity he’s spewed over the years . Now people are getting too see him showcase another side of himself , and put a more positive image of himself out there . When people look at you positively , you sell more records , this is fun for him and good p.r all rolled into one . In addition to that he gets to experiment with his acting which by seeing his performance is far from amateur.

It was this imagery laid down in the 80’s that took people out of this overly-saturated image of Black men and women being pimps and hoes, and replaced with Blacks people being doctors, lawyers and college students.

I think the move was pure genius and for those who try to make about the music only, I say it stopped being about music when laffy taffy and the whole solja boy crowd took over the airwaves.
