I missed watching this clip yesterday…but now that I have a minutes, its pretty interesting. I wish they would have let Fif finish explaining why he was drawn to invest in Vitamin Water in the first place, after comparing prices in the grocery’s bottled water section….but nooo, they had to keep it spastic by jumping to more music industry doom-gloomery.
bah.

Damn..50 is probably the smartest rapper in Hip Hop today. He runs around in circles compared to many of his peers. Hip Hop needs 50 to speak on Hip Hop issues and bussiness because it is very evident that he has very good intellect.

What I want to know is whats up with these interviewers. I’ve noticed it a lot, inside and outside of hip hop, and you’ve reminded me of it again, Info. Why ask a question and then cut the person off before (s)he gives a complete answer? Makes no sense. Above all, it is annoying as shit. Somebody really needs to teach these TV and radio “personalities” how to conduct an interview that the viewers and listeners can actually get something out of. Shouts to the people who do it right, like Angie Martinez.

it takes a lot of self-restraint to ask a question and then allow the subject to answer…and if there’s no immediate answer…let the silence ride out, so that the subject needs to fill that space.
But yes…its frustrating. I’ve been guilty of it too, but I try to keep that in mind.

50 is a bright dude. And I don’t mean bright in the sense of “he’s smart for a rapper, and not really smart, but just literal”. It’s not a coincidence that he is where he is today.

Interesting how they laughed when he compared the recession to where he came from. You can tell by the look on his face he didn’t mean for it to be viewed as a joke.
50 is brilliant in business it seems.
