Well, this is interesting….50 Cent was on the HotBoyz show in Philly just a few hours ago, and, lo and behold, Beanie Sigel came up and joined the interview. Beanie addresses the issue of his 2 Bentleys (which Jay-Z mentioned in his comment to Goofy in Montreal), and elaborates on his claim that Jay-Z didn’t co-sign him in court. All the while, 50 Cent is there, facilitating the conversation in his own way. Interesting, yes? Strategic? What do you guys think?

But you know I just watched the Jay- story and walked away from it saying to myself wow this guy has no soul.. Every person in his life was a stepping stone NOT a friend just a step up to the next important level of respect for him.. First off he was nothing more than a talented dude that people took to because of what they saw in him.. They always say the realist soldiers never live to tell the story of the battle because they knee deep in the war well Jay-Z is banking on everyone dying or him out living everyone to be the last man standing.. Dude is a transformer, a decepticon when it was cool to steal Jaz-O and Kane style he did that UNSUCCESSFULLY and when he saw what Nas and Biggie were coming with flow and originality wise he sucked up what they were doing REPACKAGED IT and made it Jay-Z Reasonable Doubt is nothing more than Illmatic 2.0…Had pac lived he would have faded away.. but lets continue so he went from speed rapper to Mr. Flow creating great stories that he never saw first hand or lived which is still fine in my book… That’s not fine is the reality all of these people that were apart of his life were nothing more than stepping stone just a way up for him and as soon as he was done with them they were GONE and this new plateau is Beyonce! Shes nothing more than a status symbol to dude.. Jaz-O a stepping stone to get in the game and in those circles, Dame a stepping stone to lean the business, Beans AND OTHER RAPPERS NOT FRIENDS JUST TRENDS!! Now the new trend is Drake and Kanye.. It’s good to see young brotha’s out there who THINK CRITICALLY and understand the real of this situation. Seeing the business as business and not on some hood ish. I saw some other good comments in here, but about 2/3 of the cats in here need to wake up. See that rap is a BILLION dollar business, no one is KILLING no one and its entertainment.
50 is a Barnum Clown with Money and he’s worst for the hood than you think. He perpetuates an attitude and mentality that he doesn’t necessary has to deal with the immediate repercussions bc he’s so far removed from THE HOOD. However, his transfer of energy (angry, envy & hate) is passed on to his real HOOD fans and followers, who live in these environments. Those 3 elements are NOT a good mix in the hood. You know where they lead.
For as petty as this all really is…the responses some brothas leave in here let you know HOW they think. There is no rationale, reasoning or understanding to some of the comments. Just homophobia and hood mentalities (hate & envy). This is enough for someone to come in, do a quick cross reference and judge cats on how they would react if they were put in this same position but at a regular job. Would they want to fight the boss because they were fired? Would they blame co-workers for the lack of effort? etc…Basically make brothas look confrontational and always looking for a hand-out…does this sound family yet?

The label is INVESTING in you as a commodity to make that back, PLUS more money. This is what I don’t understand is why doesn’t message boards get flooded with comments when Keving Liles, or Jimmy Iovine, or Doug Morris, or LA Reid fucks someone in the music business. Jay gets the short end of the stick because he’s an artist. I AM NOT trying to justify Jay’s actions. If what Beans is saying it true, what Jay did is wrong.
Also, 50 isn’t just sticking his nose in it, he actually had a part of this. According to these brothers, if Jay had let Beans go, Beans would be on G Unit so he ain’t just sticking his nose into things.

A lot of you cats don’t know how to listen. No one is arguing that rap is not a huge global business. What we are talking about is the way that business is done. In light of the stock market crash and subsequent bailout, you probably wouldn’t know that there is such a thing as business ethics. In that sense I guess I understand some of the comments here. But the fact of the matter is, business ethics and rules of conduct do exist and should be followed. All that aside, though, people should just be honest. That’s the heart of the whole beans/jz issue. If you really think about it, crews do this all the time; they put out that family vibe. “Rocafella 4 Life.” “Bad Boy Family.” Don’t act like everybody’s family when it really isn’t like that. If its just business, just say so up front. on the other side, beans shouldn’t have believed jz when he said they were fam. Hopefully, a lesson was learned.

50-cent has a check, great but he has no intention of helping anyone advance. 50-cent’s only intention is to promote his new album by remaining in the spot light. When that spot light shifted from him for a second and onto Beans and Jay, he did what he had to in order to get involved in the hot topic of conversation.
Next why not work with 50-cent? Because his track record proves that artist who have signed on G-unit records have not advanced there careers in anyway. Not one solo act has seen any considerable success on G-unit, not Yayo, not Banks, not Mobb Deep, not MOP…so why would Beanie Sigel be any different. I say why not sign with a real fucking record label, not these silly boutique labels I’m talking a real label a major, that knows how to truely handle an artist Sony, Warner, Universal…and for god sakes get a fucking lawyer. 50 does have something to do with this. He had an opportunity to sign Beans had Jay let him go. After 3-4 years, Jay has done nothing with Beans. He had an opportunity to ad a solid piece to his team and make some money doing so and because Jay decided to be funny about it, he lost out. I would have something to say about that if it were me. Also, remember, 50 never said anything about this until Beans did.

after listening to the audio, i just really figured out something: jay-z jocks whatever is hot at the time to put/keep himself in the loop. from:
1. topics/styles (5%er b.s., money, crime, pop (jiggy), gangsta, etc.),
2. features (biggie, foxie, dmx, kanye, jeezy, now drake and cudi, j.cole, rihanna, etc.)
3. producers (premier, swizz, timbaland, just blaze, kanye, etc.)
just check his whole discography, from hawaiian sophie (5%er talk, fast rappin in style then) to d.o.a. (”hip-hop is dead” get rid of the gimmicks era).

I believe we all use one another at a point in our lives. You get hired, your employer benefits and so does the employee. My Theory On WHY 50cent Is Coming For Jayz..
Jay-z has made subliminal comments throughout his promo for BP3 that 50cent im sure was offended by.
The biggest one being his interview with Toure..
Remember the one where he talked about “YouTube” beef and how “dumb” it is and “who does that”…Those were Jayz EXACT words.
We all know that 50cent is d*mn near legendary for his intervet vlog beefs with rappers. Im SURE 50cent heard that and was offended.

First and foremost.I respect that you can articulate your opinion without blasting me for having mine! Of course 50 is playing the ole “devil’s advocate” role. It only generates interest towards him and generates interest in a possible signing of Beans. Secondly, in no way would I expect the Young Gunz to take home a tenth of what Jay-Z rakes in, but in fairness I do believe they should make more than 600 bucks a show. To put it in perspective, small time “ballers” spend three or four times that amount in the club on bottles. These cats are actually working at sold out venues and taking home table scraps. To quote Jaz-Z: “we paid the waiter 100 dollars just to keep the ice cold” and you’re only going pay you artist only 6 times that? Is that all they’re worth? Everything else, hotel, restaurants are business expenses and get reimbursed to the management. So that shouldn’t factor in with their work. Holla back!

Am I the only one who wants to hear Dame’s thoughts on this? If this heats up, he’s eventually will have to speak up since Beans said he cheated him too.
Jay-Z will not put this beef on wax (at least not on his end). I think that when Nas hit him with that Ether he lost all the fight in him. From then on did nothing but subliminal shots when people have attacked him straight on. He’s clearly not that guy from 2001 anymore. I’m starting to think he lost confidence himself after that because his last couple albums were based on gimmicks:
The Black Album- The “Retirement”
Kingdom Come- The “Comeback”
American Gangster- The album that coincides with the most hyped movie of the year.
The Blueprint 3- He starts out by “Killing Autotune” similar to Nas’ “Hip Hop Is Dead”
Then EVERY song on the album except for 3 is a collaboration with the current hot artists.
To be honest, if Nas had been more ambitious in his business aspects he could’ve ended Jay’s career and been in his position. But you can see he’s not about that and was in conflict with “If I Ruled The World” Nas and “Oochie Wally” Nas.
In my opinion, Jay-Z is too big to defeat now. He was on Oprah joking about his dopeboy days! He’s crossed over all the way now. 50Cent is going to try hard though.

This is all funny to me. Jay said it some time ago BP1 “Get stoned every day like Jesus did”. This young gentleman has been a great example for the industry and for the hood. I been reading these replies to who’s wrong who’s right. we all prospective fans of hip-hop and will never know the true story. stating our opinions is great and like Jay always said “Hip-Hop beef is a competitive sport”. There plenty of great MCs, rappers, lyricist, and ghostwriters in the hood struggling to make a dollar for the love of Hip-hop, which is Not Dead but being tortured by the very own fans that plead to love it so much. But if you don’t know how to “package” your game your gonna be another nigga in the hood with a dream and no dollars.
So what Jay learned from pioneers and trends that what marketing and intelligence does. You learn something and make it your own. Remodel it, Repackage it, and Resell it. Creativity comes from inspiration. I believe he’s done a hella job for East Coast rap. He takes lil nigga like Kid Cudi, Beans, and Bleek and let them shine.
I can’t respect what Beans is doing for one reason. He may have been a great MC… but Jay allowed him to shine and respected him for his skills. Now Beans wants to measure his success to the loyalty Jay had for him. Friendship is friendship, and business is business. Something I will always respected about Jay, he could be Satan or he could be a Saint but he draws a line from his personal life and his career and from analyzing things many of these well known rappers don’t know how to do that. Which is probably why their success has tumbled.
I believe Jay help build a strong family, he moved on to bigger things and people were probably envious because they weren’t gonna eat from it.
Let the nigga live he makes great music and he’s making great moves. He’s been looked at as a God and he a fucking Man. He makes mistakes, He makes good music, and He makes good people POP!
Call me a “dick-ryder” or whatever the Man has done hella great for him self and his community “hip-hop” N BK… He may not be the originator but he damn sure is a mentor

Everyone is forgetting one thing. Beanie Sigel had every opportunity in the world to do right yet he was so proud to continue to be “hood” and “in the streets” that this dude was constantly getting arrested. I wouldn’t be responsible for his whereabouts either because he obviously can’t act right. Beans said he was in on some Federal ish, who the hell want to be tied into that? Why not quit acting like a dumb ass and get your ass straight and stop putting the burden of supporting you on your people around you or getting pissed that they don’t come to coddle your grown ass when you get busted for ish you knew you shouldn’t be doing. Some of you posers are virtual gangsters that have never seen any parts of the hood and merely speculate from the sidelines. I give Jay respect because he kept me from emptying my rachet in Lame Dame back in the day at a party. He was a thorough dude that stepped in front of what was going to be a 187, and that’s a stand up dude to me. As for the “worker” that now is the official Street Team Captain for G-Unit, “pay your position” because 50 knows it’s cheaper to pay you to run your mouth while he talks up his album, cologne, books, etc. in his efforts to become the 1st billionaire in hip-hop. You had years to make it happen and you wanted to be a “block bully” and not handle yours. I don’t care if you had 20% or 100% you were given more than you had and you did nothing with it.
